  • I'll die happy if I hear either this or alpha 3's Theme for Ryu remixed for SF X T

  • Why can't Capcom use this theme more? I'm honestly tired of hearing his damn SF2 theme all the time.

  • Shinkuuu Hadoukeeeen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ryu:The anser lies in the heart of battle

  • I like this version of Ryu. It's obvious that this is a time after Gouken taught him again (Supe Art 2 and 3). Ryu is now wise and has completely rejected the evil intent. His theme just says it all.

I'm sick of the unsure Ryu, who is stuck with his SF2 theme and fireball zoning.

  • RANDOM COMMENT How many Ryu copies are there? - Ken - Violent Ken - Akuma - Shin Akuma - Cyber Akuma - Oni - Sean - Gouken - Sakura - Evil Ryu - Dan That's about eleven...
  • @nicey991 Sean and Dan share the costume (gi), they're somewhat similiar..but there not copies like Ken...

  • @BarmSchulz But Dan "parodies" Ryu in a way. Right? Therefore he's a clone.

  • @nicey991 In a way :P, they're not carbon-copies as much as "SIMILIAR BEI" ..screw it, yeah their clones

  • @nicey991 Dan "Parodies" Ryo from Art of fighting or King of fighters... he has barely the same move like Ryo, only weaker a bit... Dan was actually made to make joke of Ryo and of the whole King of fighters universe

  • @CASILLAS1g No he is a parody of Robert, Ryo and Takuma. His move set takes moves from all three of them. These three characters were from Art of fighting which one of SNKs fighters before KOF so really hes just a joke of Art of fighting.

  • @StupidKidPeople0 You're talking about his design, I was talking about his fighting style. But you taught me something, thank you :)

  • @nicey991 if u mean the same move set then yea :P

  • @nicey991 Dont forget Dark Sakura (Marvel vs Capcom 2)

  • @EvilRyuga Right!

  • This is the theme that plays when you must save your boyfriend/girlfriend from a terrible foe!

  • DEEEEEEEEEENJIN

  • Musica muito show de bola

  • I love this theme, especially when it changes at :55 you just feel so pumped up!

  • Continuing much of the trend of this game, the 2nd round mix is my favorite. I just love the crunchy electric guitars coming in.

  • The way I think about this theme is pretty much the way I think about Ryu. The "round 1 part" is Ryu's calm and friendly state of mind. He's always happy to have a good fight and wants nothing more than to improve. When the song changes though, that's like when Ryu gets serious. Another way to explain it is that the "round 1 part" is kind of like 'okay, I'm testing my opponent, let's see what he's got' and the rest is like 'done playing, time to kick this dude's ass'.

  • I want that wallpaper

  • Yes, to answer questions. Ryu does in fact travel the world MAINLY by walking. In the anime he says "I go where my heart tells me"

  • They should put this theme for ryu Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 it would be so fucking Epic!!! XD

  • Shoryuken will never die.

  • @Bellamyfanboy he train everyday to don't forget that either

  • some 3rd strike songs are a little repetitive but this one is really good from beginning to end

  • It starts out calm, then at 0:56 you know Ryu still can kick your ass!

  • I've actually seen well-built asians. And, for some reason, it makes ME feel good for THEM. Probably cause I'm a Ryu player first and foremost.

  • Ryu is hot.

  • Storyline wise, how does he travel? See to me it sounds like he walks and just ends up in any country. I know he carries his passport, money, food and all that in that bag he has.

If he does walk, my god Ryu must be the healthiest SF character ever.

  • @Bellamyfanboy It's true. Ryu just walks from place to place. Hell, in his ending from Street Fighter vs. X-Men, Ryu literally walks from the moon back to earth, even though the X-Men tried to offer him a ride home.

  • @BaronOfBacon OK, I'll admit, that's fucking epic. It baffled my mind I mean, how will he get back? XD

  • @BaronOfBacon LOL its true he does do that.how is he breathing on The FUCKING MOON!!!!!!

  • @Bellamyfanboy

and also the one with nastiest feet

  • @Renegade466isback haha yeah. I dobut anyone wants a Tatsumaki in their face. Anyway if he existed, would he not get funny looks? I mean some random Karate man walking the street lol.

Another thing story related, I used to think that the opponent you fight in every stage waits for him and they just fight.

  • @Bellamyfanboy Maybe his opponents force him to wash his feet before they fight, since Ryu lost his sandals after SF1 and can't be bothered to get a new pair.

Or maybe he DOES have a pair of sandals and just takes them off before he fights and cutscenes.

That, or maybe that's why his kicks hurt so much (especially his EX Super Kick that launches his opponent). The smell does extra damage.

  • @Renegade466isback

Guess the Hadou doesn't help with hygiene.

  • @Renegade466isback why do you think his tatsumaki knocks people back?

  • @Renegade466isback mabe hi's feet are real tough now though 0.o

  • @Renegade466isback

all the more painful his kicks are

  • @Renegade466isback Oh don't be like that. I'm sure he bathes.

    Monthly.

  • @Bellamyfanboy If you look at Ryu's ending, you'll see that he occasionally hitchhikes his way around, but does indeed walk for the most part.

  • @Bellamyfanboy He starts walking in Japan, and ends up in America. HOW THE FUCK DOES HE DO THAT?

  • @AlmostHuman102 he tatsu's across the ocean

  • @CachondeoStudios For 3000 miles? Yeah, with screwed up Street Fighter storylines, I seriously believe that. Why can't they mess up physics, too?

  • @AlmostHuman102

Physics? In a world where people fly, jump around with great ease, and throw fireballs? The Laws of Physics do not apply here.

  • @Tud3la Exactly.

  • @Bellamyfanboy I think sometimes that the castle he fights on top of is his house! But also, think of the way that he gets money. He gets paid from fighting tournaments, he does jobs (fisherman, drilling, etc) and on top of that, his best friend is rich, not to mention that he probably doesn't even need the extra cash because it's obvious that he's loaded. I think maybe Ken bought the Castle. LOL!

  • @smokintheblaze I take it he did those jobs you mentioned in Udon's comics? Also regarding the castle, it could just be a place he likes to go to or to train there. Maybe when he was training with Ken when they were young the castle was near Gouken's Dojo.

  • @Bellamyfanboy well he give the new meaning of walking 500 miles and more

  • @Bellamyfanboy

I think Ken floats him change.

  • he looks cocky in this picture

  • Capcom shoudl remix thsi them for Sfxtk but give him a good remix not a sloppy remix.

  • @Tyrik73

prepare for another shitty Street Fighter II theme remix (I hope with all my heart its not true but its bound to happen) . Then again looking at the roster hopefully they will be a bit more adventurous.

Imagine they just copy pasta'd the themes directly from SF4? now thats a scary thought

  • @Renegade466isback I would want them to remix tracks like The road, Rising Dragoon, or even his theme from MSHvSF. But the likelyhood of that happening is low.

  • @Renegade466isback it's not scary, just depressing.

  • @Renegade466isback the upside to ryu in sf x t is he has his side kick back.

  • @mapleleafs294 looks like it's close to SFIII with ken's shinpujinraikyaku back

  • Am I only one who feel this theme sound like Yoshi Tatsu WWE theme

  • @Lrdvltr LOL

  • I would always see Chun lis panties from 0:00 XD

  • ohhhh since hugo beat him in the tournament and ryu's in his wrestling group hugo made ryu put his theme in there listen? 1:55?

  • @beatles1ize Hugo beat him in third strike?

  • @TheDarrien21 yea look at hugo's end...i think.

  • Ahhhhh. I remember the days when i used to love to kick Ryu's ass with Sean with this theme playing on the hardest difficulty.... Best time wasted. EVER!

  • only game he actually looks japanese

  • @fgfcgcb i dont now its is me, but i think look less japanese in this game than the others, i always think he is a copy of sonny chiba of the street figther 70s movie.

  • the SF3 ryu would kick the shit out of his Sf4 version.

  • @Tyrik73 Kind of obvious because SF3 takes place after SF4.

  • @Tyrik73 No shit Sherlock. SF3 is 3yrs after 4.

  • @Maurcas1 3yrs?I thought it was like 5yrs after.

  • one my fav chars is Ken, the music make the fight vs Ryu 1:27 sooo epic!!!

    great <3

  • "To me, it isn't a matter of which Ryu theme is better, but simply that they reflect how Ryu is in each game. In the earlier games Ryu was still learning and wanted nothing more than to be the best while he was trying to fight the Satsui no Hado, and I think his earlier theme reflected that. In SF3, he is more calm and has come into terms with who he his and has overcome his dark side while still having the determination of being the best. I think this theme reflects that."

  • @epyon1234 not my comment though, thought I should have shared it anyways

  • @epyon1234 that is a cool theory

  • @epyon1234 I couldn't say it any better.

  • Wow Ryu, looking mighty Asian today!

  • Kobu o3o c====8

  • @OneManArmy519 Wow thanks for getting that song stuck in my head every time I hear this song now :P

  • Goddammit I love this theme so much better than that overrated Street Fighter 2 one that Capcom keeps using for him.

I'm not even a big of a Ryu fan and I love this theme for him so much more than the SF2 one.

  • @ConkerfanX I agree i like this one better too!The sf2 ryu theme in my opinion is also overrated.Ryu sf3 theme sounds Better than his sf2 one in my opinion.

  • This is that trance, I remember back in the dreamcast days we had this game.. I would always win on ryu's stage, because of this music.

  • it's really cool, don't let me listen to this and drive, i'll get a speeding ticket.

  • The gentle sound of the drums make my balls vibrate C:

  • @Lrdvltr i lmfao'd :P

  • @Lrdvltr lmao! im surprised tht didnt gt 100+ votes lmao xD

  • Denjin Hadouken > All u bitchez

  • Bruv, what are the differences between the Dreamcast soundtrack and the PS2 soundtrack?

    Are there any differences?

  • @OldManPhillips

The Dreamcast version has an additional track that starts up when you get to the third round for each fighter's stage. These tracks are remixes of the original stage track. Also, the game will loop the first half of the song in the first round, the second half of the round in the second round, and introduce the new third track in round 3. I haven't played the PS2 version, but I think it just plays the original stage track and it continues playing through each round.

  • @DieselDiaz The PS2 and Xbox versions have both the 3 part remix arranged and original Arcade soundtracks. Just another reason why they're better.

  • @DieselDiaz You are incredible. Thank you so much! Sorry it took me so damn long to get back to you :( but seriously, you took the time to help me out. Greatly appreciated :).

  • Oh man! It sounds so much better!
