Americans are so paranoid about such ridiculous things. Any system of control is based not on force or coercion for that control but upon the agreement- knowing or unknowing- of everybody in their day-to-day lives. In this period in history there is no excuse to think that a mass exodus is impossible. Let me put it this way: if bored teenagers can prevent the international recognition of scientology as a religion, we have nothing to worry about.
