First I'd like to say nice video! But are you sure that the boat is 12 feet? It looks more like a 10 footer. I understand that the overall length is from the bow to the ends of the tubes, but even still it looks like 9-10 ft at the most.
I'm not trying to be argumentative, but I'm in the market for an inflatable and I was looking at 12 footers and they just seemed bigger than yours. Yours is definitely a beauty though! Nice set up!
@Nate3038 The downriggers are mounted to a 1X10 board placed over the rear seat. Board is secured with rings glued on top of the boat tubes. Rod holder are part of the downrigger and an extra rod holder was mounted on a Coleman cooler/fish box that also serves as the front seat. Our “Small Boat Fishing on a Budget” article with description of downrigger set up and picture of the boat will be published in the August or September, 2011 issue of Salmon, Trout , Steelheader magazine.
@Nate3038 I should add - the 1X10 is attached to two - 1X4 boards that are secured to the top of the boat’s side tubes with glued on rings . A 5 gal plastic bucket or cooler is placed under the rear seat to spread the downrigger load to the floor of the raft. Spacer is need to connect the 1X10 to the top of the boat’s rear seat.
Nice video any more?
