i do a 45 degree cut before i use cloning hormone. also i agree once you turn your clone machine on it will remove all cloning gel and mix with water. so i use a high Nitrogen mix in the water as well
I grow, I clone, and I have great sense, but why waste cloning gel on a stem that will be washed off in a minute, no need for gel in aero-cloners in my experience, might as well dump some into the water, same results, but I use gel in my rockwool I sometimes start my clones in, in a dome with heating mat.
If I could ask you what were the outside temps in the video below? I havent had much success with my aeroponic system i have mine in a air conditioned room the ph is fine, should i move to a hotter place?
(physics) The passage of gases through fine tubes or through a porous substance.
(botany) The loss of water by evaporation in terrestrial plants, especially through the stomata (accompanied by a corresponding water uptake from the roots); a process in which the water vapor escapes through the plant via its stomata and lenticels into its external environment (atmosphere).
You should never put your cuttings directly into your gel because it can contaminate the rest of your gel and the plant auxins will now be in the gel.
@tchydro Not to mention it'll water it down.. I cut while the stem while under water, so as no air bubble. And if doing so, putting in the gel's bottle would water it down. I prefer the powder though.. "stim root". And I also prefer cubes or peat-pellets.. though I admit I've never tried aero-cloning. Cubes only take 5-7 days anyways, so... And I also use "Olyvia's Cloning Solution" for feeding, with a few drops of "SuperThrive" mixed in.
@bluediemond if you have just suspending rooted clones, do you just transplant the plant into some hydroton? this is strange without being able to use rockwool

a how did you make that cloning thing
youstupidwhorebag 11 months ago
@youstupidwhorebag Its easy to make a better, easier version of his cloner, for about 30 bucks

Clonex in an aero cloner? You really don't know what you're doing do you?
GKCarpenter69 1 year ago
@GKCarpenter69 Just out of curiosity, why not put clonex on plants going into an aerocloner? What would you do instead?
Cannabisseur 1 year ago
@GKCarpenter69 Yeah I was thinking that too.... surely it will wash off in a matter of minutes.

@aviationchannel777 It will wash off in seconds. this guy is a fuckin hack.

Why would you use a rooting agent when you are sticking them in a hydro system?
I root with a 99.9% success rate in nothing but water.
bluediemond 2 years ago
I also notice you are running an air stone as well as the sprayer? The guy that built this for you.....robbed you.

BongsIzRippin 2 years ago
yes I just place rooted clones in hydroton. Something like rockwool is another method of cloning....no need to combine the methods.
bluediemond 2 years ago
good stuff man i hope to see a update on these clones one quick question what kind of nutrients you have in the water for the clone?
