Now that he knows that KH is a complete success and is able to sell lots of lots of times, he can plan ahead and tell many side stories and whatnot. but when KH was released, he didn't even have a clue that he would ever tell the players of the x-blade.
looking back square soft teaming up with enix made this game better i mean how were they going to do the part with roxas meeting up with sora for kingdom hearts 2 or even making it? part of me wonders what it wold have been like if square soft actually made a kh 2
@noxus158 it probably wouldn't be even more of a button mash that has no need for magic in it at all. sure KH2 is still good and has a bigger and better cast, but there are a few flaws that bring it down, there are still a few things in this i like over the second.

Looking at this picture makes me think it might have been a much more epic game if they had stopped after kh1. The sequels (and prequels) were fun but I think they ruined the story line by making it 6x more complicated.
@BarN0ne1 You know what? I've been feeling the same way. However, for that to have happen, I feel like they would need a lot more replay value in the game, as well as better gameplay such as Kingdom Hearts II had.
@BarN0ne1 Eh, I would have been glad for more games on main consoles and less side games (like Re:coded or 358/2 days, those definitely ruined the mood), KH2 was good but it did get a little complicated story wise (gameplay wise they dumbed it down to spamming triangle half the time...). I just love this picture because it really makes me remember how epic KH1 was, to me it had the right balance of Disney villains and Square Enix type characters.
@zDallasCowboys008z Kingdom Hearts 2 is actually my favorite game of all time. 1 was epic but 2 I think was better. I found 1 pretty damn easy compared to 2. As weird as that sound, it's true. RE'Coded and 358/2 days were good games and so was re;chain of memories.
@seemangalbj I just think that Recoded and 358/2 days have that filler feel to them, not much happens in 358/2 days besides Xion being revealed and eating ice cream for over half the days. 2 felt much easier because there was a mini map telling you exactly where to go so you could literally never get lost, then the triangle reaction commands in most battles that would do half the work for you, and the "Defeat all the Heartless" message being spammed in rooms, followed up by a cut scene.
@zDallasCowboys008z Yeah 358/2 days and especially recoded din't have that much importance story wise. In kh2 though, I think it's just me but I like not getting lost and maybe it's just me but I find KH2 much harder. In the end, I think it just comes down to opinion.

The Gummiship part was a nice challenge, but in combat, you could beat enemies by simply mashing the X and triangle button. Along with that, the maps were too simple and uninteractive. In KH1, you could find dalmations and other stuff in the rooms if you looked around or went back later with more abilities. I liked Days for bringing the maps and combat from KH1 back.

That is one of the reasons I like the original more, I beat KH2 before I even beat the first boss of the original.. (don't ask) I liked the darkness and difficulty of the original.
Had a lot of mystery to it. The original is the last TRULY hard game in my opinion.
Now all you do is press one button, or change a weapon and move forward in games.

@keyblade8 the press triangle to win was an issue but at least it was about timing the execution. The reason why i like all of them is because they all have something to do with kh and they are all executed well. The organization was new for me in chain of memories but i ended up loving it because without them kh2 would be to similiar to the first. They really brought a whole new epic feel to the franchise and they're not emo. They are in black coats because they hide in the shadow.

So many times I've heard this in my childhood when I was trying to defeat a boss and I would get frustrated, I can't listen to this song without feeling that feeling! Hahaha
I love how Tetsuya Normura mainly gets all the credit in KH, when there were many others in fact involved, to include American artists. Yet when I mention Michael Jackson's involvement in S3&K and I am repetitively bashed for not mentioning the Japanese developers.

KH3 does exist...but in the mind of the Director, Tetsuya Nomura. He along with the entire team that makes the main KH games are working on Final Fantasy Versus XIII, and says that work on KH3 will not begin until FFVs13 is complete. And since Vs13 has been in production since 2006, AND DOES NOT have an official release date yet, I would say KH3 wont be our for at least 3 or 4 more years (

Kingdom Hearts to me just had a WAY more better story than Kingdom Hearts II...Kingdom Hearts II lacked the certain feel and spice that Kingdom Hearts had. Well whatever it is Kingdom Hearts certainly had much more potenital than Kingdom Hearts II although Kingdom Hearts II had more action than the first one.
I pick old yet beautiful and creative graphics like Kingdom Hearts over the extreme realistic and boring graphics and in COD and Crysis 2 anyday. Especally the gameplay.
@LordXanxus yeah i know but what i am saying is that Kingdom Hearts knew what was important. The first Crysis kinda went for a little realism but they still made it fun but Crysis 2? It was fun but not as fun as the first one. They like many first person shooter do nowdays forgot that its a GAME and not a movie!
Dont get me started on Call of Duty who just goes for the same design as they did 10 years ago.

I love how Tetsuya Normura mainly gets all the credit in KH, when there were many others in fact involved, to include American artists. Yet when I mention Michael Jackson's involvement in S3&K and I am repetitively bashed for not mentioning the Japanese developers.

@executableapplet Yeah, other people were involved, and they got their credit. The reason Tetsuya got more is because he came up with the whole thing, if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have this game, though at the same time, if it wasn't for other people, we also wouldn't have this game. Kind of confusing.

@TheSteadyingMeat yeah, I actually am very, very enthusiastic about Mr. Tetsuya's contribution to such an awesome MASTERPIECE!! uhm, ahem. ... the thing I'm saying though, is I was in a recent debate about music composers involved in Sonic 3 & Knuckles, a game on the Genesis. I spoke highly of Michael Jackson's contribution and contributors, yet I was painfully reminded of the Japanese musicians and developers. I'm wondering, are all fans of Japanese products this biased? I found it remarkable!

KH3 does exist...but in the mind of the Director, Tetsuya Nomura. He along with the entire team that makes the main KH games are working on Final Fantasy Versus XIII, and says that work on KH3 will not begin until FFVs13 is complete. And since Vs13 has been in production since 2006, AND DOES NOT have an official release date yet, I would say KH3 wont be our for at least 3 or 4 more years (

its so sad i never get to play this game cause my kh 1 disk is scrached pretty bad and my ps2 has a realy bad scanner so i cant play kh2 i liked kh1 better i bet the game 20 times i had a lvl 258 sora (my ps2 glitched started me all over with a lvl 258 on destiny island) and i had all keyblades but i didnt play the game on expert so i dont get the full experience of it

There is a long awaited KH3 that still hasn't come, (which i really think sucks T~T) And although they seemed to be continuing the series with some spin offs (and don't get me wrong. Some capture the essence that made me fall in love with the main series, such as Birth By SLeep) Yet there also might be the possibility that a KH3 might not exist

Kingdom Hearts to me just had a WAY more better story than Kingdom Hearts II...Kingdom Hearts II lacked the certain feel and spice that Kingdom Hearts had. Well whatever it is Kingdom Hearts certainly had much more potenital than Kingdom Hearts II although Kingdom Hearts II had more action than the first one.

I pick old yet beautiful and creative graphics like Kingdom Hearts over the extreme realistic and boring graphics and in COD and Crysis 2 anyday. Especally the gameplay.

Crysis is awesome in its own right.
Kingdom hearts sits at the top of RPG's while Crysis is on the top of FPS.

@LordXanxus yeah i know but what i am saying is that Kingdom Hearts knew what was important. The first Crysis kinda went for a little realism but they still made it fun but Crysis 2? It was fun but not as fun as the first one. They like many first person shooter do nowdays forgot that its a GAME and not a movie!
Dont get me started on Call of Duty who just goes for the same design as they did 10 years ago.
