Pagan was cool. It forwent the bright and cheery Britannia for a dark depressing world. And it reversed the selflessness the Avatar always possessed and forced him to become the epitome of selfishness to preserve his own existence. It made the Avatar human.

It's a shame they never made an Ultima 9 to finish off the series.
