  • Heee hee, Catholics donated the bottles; heee. I love these Bottle Bank guys and was privileged to see them in person when I lived in the Chicago area.

  • sooo cool

  • WIN :D

  • 真口愛

  • Loved it!

  • Wonderful!!!

  • This is simply astonishing! *_* Congratulations :D

  • Wittenberg Beer Steins make the best instruments. Ein Festered Burger was first played on the university campus by several of the Lutheran contributors to the Book of Concord(Germany's most famous wine list)

  • I loved it................

  • they even made it on America's got talent!!! i seen them perform! what a bunch of really nice people!! they were before me when i was to go on stage.

  • Is there anyway to get sheet music for this?!!! I am trying to start a bottleband and would greatly appreciate it !!!

  • @TheJezzikahhhh No, Professor Phillips (The director) writes this all by himself!

  • That tops our syncronized swimming skit at our Lutheran dinner theater!

  • I love the costumes

  • Great fun and I'm happy to see that they keep on tooting and plucking..

    Chicago native living in Missouri

  • Creative and talented musical teamwork. Great job.

  • Very creative! Nice to see some good clean fun!

  • So Fun!

  • This is awesome!! Love it!!

  • Oh I love this!!!!

  • Omd, i love this song. Its the one i am doing for talent fest final, i think its a wonderful song.x

  • Wherever you find four Lutherans you find a 5th

  • 2531 to 54... I'd say you have a hit on your hands...

  • why are 2 of the performer blacked out?

  • @timmarion No performers are blacked out ... it's just my crummy digital-8 recorder. Later videos were created with a borrowed HD camera. Check out the EXTREME Bottleband playlist (or search YouTube for "Extreme Bottleband") for better fidelity clips.

  • @timmarion Oops, just looked again and realized you may have been referring to the ones who were blocked from camera view by lighting instruments.

  • What type of music are you using......is it Handbell music???

  • @ggrhbdirector Professor Philips creates all original arrangements for bottles.

  • That looks like so much fun!

  • This video is so funny to watch... I wish more of us lutherans were able to loosen up and have fun like this... thank you to everyone in the video and to Pauledisonswift for the filming of this... :D

  • YES! Lutherans have GREAT senses of humor... because we know we are saved! And we KNOW that Jesus died to SAVE US ALL!!! :]

We Lutherans are very creative, fun, and we ALL LOVE MUSIC AND LAUGHTER!!

  • LOVE IT!!!

  • Well done !

  • Warning: Not an accurate depiction of ALL Lutherans. lol

  • fabulous! I wish I could travel to see these guys!

  • What a great use for recycled beer bottles!!! :o)

  • this happened on MY birthday :)! i was there

  • Wonderful!

  • I donated the Manischewitz win botles

  • Awesome! PROST!!!!

  • This is great!

  • Reminds me of a statement Ernest Holms made: "what mind can conceive man can achieve" Great job and so creative...keep up the work. Kitch tends to wear thin after a while. Perhaps, you can incorperate other unusual noise making instruments.

  • Now if THAT doesn't put a smile on your face, nothing will! Excellent!

  • Love it!

  • Are Lutherans always so creatively costumed?

  • @catholicschooljew Yes, if they are in a bottle band.

  • This took a lot of skill and preparation. I got a big kick out of it and a few chortles. It's great to hear people creating something positive. The world needs it. Thanks.

  • good , i like

  • Amazing. Pure joy! Thanks for doing this, y'all.

  • Absolutely wonderful - proud to be a Lutheran

Really like the J&B bottle sneaked in to the band

  • This is brilliant well done

  • Bravo!

  • It's so sweet, gotta just enjoy it for what it is, Just a beautiful joyful romp

  • Paul, which bottle are you? :-D

  • @frankc2 I'm behind the camera (and musically challenged). They didn't have Suzuki bottle school when I was growing up. :)

  • Paul--thanks for the chuckle!

  • who knew that drinking beer could keep some Lutherans off the streets!

  • Absolutely PRICELESS!!!

  • So good idea.

  • Just awesome. And I am glad to see that the "bottle band" is from my home state and close to my hometown of Highwood, Illinois. Park Ridge rocks! And whoever "dislikes" this is just a McNastypants. ; -D

  • oh snap

  • this song makes me happy!!! =]

  • We Catholics donated the empty beer bottles. :)

  • It's about time we Lutherans made a mark on the world. We haven't done much of anything since Martin Luther left his thoughts on the church door :-)

    this was great!!

  • Hahahahaha.... Oh, this is just, too much fun!

    Thanks for sharing the joy!

  • Good times!

  • As to how they got so many empty bottles...as a church janitor I can tell you that I pick up MANY empty beer bottles on the parking lot early Sunday morning. For some reason people think that partying in the church parkinglot on a Saturday night is the thing to do.

  • @satekroket- They use their Christian freedom to enjoy a beer or two.

  • That is so funny-boo to the thumbs down-enjoy or don't watch-I bet they watched the whole thing, too! blah to them

  • all I can say is ... awesome

  • Креативный подход!

  • Really nice work :o)

  • SOOOOO HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!

  • how do our christian brothers get so many empty bottles?????

  • Awesome ! Now I know what to do with all those bottles & overnight [guests] after a party

  • Outstanding!

  • Wonderful - that took some practice.

  • Fabulous job! Imagine all the rehearsals to get this just right. Thanks for posting!

  • Absolutely delightful!

  • Brava! And so professional! (Yes, reminds me of PDQ Bach, too.) These might be the next "instruments" for the Raleigh Ringers!

  • That's just brilliant. Thank you very much for sharing this wonderful performance.

  • I wonder what their sheet music looks like!

  • @DontConform Uh...My parents are in the band...The sheet music is weird...o.o

  • The conductor--and the shtick--remind me of Peter Schickele at U of Minn in Hoople (famous under his pseudonym P. D. Q. Bach), both in appearance and in... style. ;-) Tons of fun.

  • круто, молодцы! :)

  • it's refreshing to see humor like this. It reminds me of the old Spike Jones band.

  • @mountainhowitzer

That's funny you should say that because the director, Paul Phillips, is a huge Spike Jones fan and was very much influenced by their music and humor. :-)

  • @Diamond2Wheels Not much different than handbells, wouldn't take too long if they had played 'em before

  • They are both talented and humorous. Love it! :D

  • Virtuosi all! Bravo!!

  • kudos to the beer bottle band! It takes amazing timing to pull that off, and I know it took hundreds of practice hours to get that precise. Very cool. I wonder who the "bah humbug" people are (11 of them, of almost 700) who made the negative comments. They must have a very sad life. I hope to see more of this beer bottle band!

  • @annieoleta1

bah humbugs to those who have no sense of humour. purists can be pains in the bum!!

  • @rastagirl007 Yup, life is good when you see stuff like this. They love performing and we love watching and thanks to Youtube almost 1.4 million people see it....I wish there were a 'penny donation' button. $14,000 bucks! Actually that would be a cool idea. Penny donations with options up to a quarter. Now that would be cool. Youtube Tipjar. You heard it first from John-Hans Melcher 12-19-10 Let's spread the idea!

  • Loved it!!
