No. Camera manufactures still don't understand that there is a BIG demand for a professional quality pocket camera with a great distortion free lens, USABLE ISO at 1600 a hot shoe, and a threaded lens for filters , etc. Many pros (including my wife) would love one for a backup. Also, many serious amateurs do not want to lug around all the weight and lenses of an SLR. The technology is there but the manufacturers want everyone to buy an SLR.
Can you give me more details? I understand Lensmate is going to come out with some kind of adapter. I signed on to their "interested" list a couple of months ago, but haven't heard anything yet. Is there another option? Thanks in advance for any help!
Yes, I have the SX10. The SX1 is the camera you're referring to. Both were released at the same time, but the SX1 is/was not available in the USA. I hadn't heard about a US release anytime soon so I went with SX10. There's supposed to be quite a cost difference too.
You just demonstrated why a still camera should NOT be used to make a movie. Terrible results as to be expected with any STILL point and shoot camera! Even a cheap digital camcorder will produce superior results. I imagine that you are going to use this camera for still shots. Thanks for sharing the results of your test.
You sure some of that isn't due to YouTube's compression? Even my own videos look better before their sent up...I wish YouTube wouldn't squash everything. LOL
I think you may be right. I saw another upload on a camera review page and it looked much better. Something must have happened during your upload. Good luck with the camera.
did you have to buy more memory to make a vid
what kind is it
Thanks
