  • I'd love to get a reverb Impulse Response in the crypt but I'm afraid of getting busted.

  • My grandmother's uncle, Cardinal Norman Gilroy, was encrypted here upon his death in 1977.

  • I was in the choir for 5 years (but the school was being rebuilt, so we went to school at a now demolished Navy base in Waverton, but we had choir practise before school mon to thurs and wed nights)...I know the Cathedral blind folded......I got married there and 3 of my 5 children were christened there....It's like home and when i walk back in there it feels as though i've never left.

  • @SpunSugarBoy thanks for the comment - i just love listening to the st mary choir singing... i take every opportunity i can to be there whenever the choir is singing.. and the Cathedral itself is so majestic.. i could sit inside praying or even just doing a meditative reflection for hours!

  • Mark, you can escape the $5 as well. Not many people paid for it and they just enter. I have been in there many many times and spending time praying.

  • lol yea i have thought about doing the same but was too afraid i might get caught (they've got cameras down there!)... anyway, i think if u paid the $5 in the shop, you also get a map detailing the plan of the crypt

  • how did you get in?

  • you will need to speak to the person at the counter in the shop and pay a $5 entrance fee.

  • i've always wondered what was down there
