Remember, if you buy a "Freeview" compliant digital receiver you will NOT be able to use an ad-skip feature, you will NOT be able to fast forward at a rapid rate, you will NOT be able to move recordings off the receiver device (unless you own a TiVo and pay for an additional network pack). Freeview is a giant con. It's an organisation that exists to ensure that advertising is left best off, and not the consumer. You can buy a non Freeview compliant receiever and watch TV with the above features.

its just a brand name they have given to free to air tv in australia.
pretty useless really. 15 channels, but we already get 10 of them and they mostly show the same thing on 2 channels.
