I saw one out at the mountains a month ago and it went pretty good. It seemed like it was working hard all the time. I wonder how much range you would have with the small fuel tank and the engine working as hard as it did.
@jaxxon911 Sleds cannot go where these will. Only downfall is long trails with little snow. On icy trails they are gay as aids. In the pow there is nothing more fun.
that i such horse shit an experienced snowmobiler would fuck that dirt bikes shit up ya there cool but nothing compared to a snowmobile i could ride that shit in my sleep
I ride in the same place as these guys on a snowmobile and these things are insane. They will go place that you can only dream on a sled. I know im getting in to trouble when I only see a track mark and no ski marks. There not that hard to ride in the powder but on the tail you got to be on your game. For how loud they are not as loud a can on a snowmobile but there not quiet. As for the gutless that someone said early exact opposite you got to have a pair to ride one of these (bikes have gears)
@marktwainisgod on a horsepower to weight ratio not really skidoos are 180hp direct injected 2 strokes and are very reliableI also wonder how many clutches you will have to replace on those things and reset he valves after every ride for me id rather have a real sled .
@turner593 Yes I forgot about those damn clutches. Also I wonder about the stress on the frame and it cracking with time. You are probably right. I just enjoy bikes so much, I want to ride every chance I can get, even in the winter. I guess studded tires is still the way to go for bikes.
that would be just the weirdest thing to hear on the mountain. your on your 2stroke sled, then you stop for a break. all you can hear off in the distance is the sound of a 4 sroke motocross bike?
I also agree unless ur a spoiled rich kid with lots of daddy's money to spend ur not getting one that's y I made my own it's not as pretty but it works great and I spent 350 bucks check it out!! rmx 250 snowbike
@asssface2000 the point is not to buy a bike to put the kit on its to buy the kit to put on a bike u already have plus its still cheaper than a new skidoo
Just went riding on the weekend and rode one of these timberland unreal goes were ever a sled goes awesome job on the kit and it only takes a few hours to put it together awesome machine
I have owned a Dragon 800 on 12lbs of boost and also ran a 2010 M8 this year on boost. Allan the owner of Timbersled has a Dragon with 2 seasons all on boost.
Sure a sled will climb a open chute better I will not deny that but these bikes just go places a sled can't even dream of and do it so easy. Give me a shout I welcome you to come ride with us you can bring any sled along and I can bet you money you can't keep up I know it sounds bold but the bikes are boondockers.
pretty bad ass,i'll still hang onto my sled tho :)

Fun for a day or two but ultimately impractical and a great way to break your leg and ruin your bike.

This would be a hell of a lot lighter than a snowmobile AND a 4 stroke is more reliable for long distance everyday use.
marktwainisgod 2 months ago
@marktwainisgod I think you are forgetting that sleds usually have 2-3 times the power as theese bikes have
