The worst bit is that they were planning to reunite. All the Beatles were going to meet up at George's house on the 25th Febuary 1981 (George's birthday), and Paul was going to ask them if they could all reunite. It was not to be... :(

John said "sarcastically" to the reporter that the best place they've played was atlanta because the microphone system went out and everyone was screaming so loud that they pretended to sing and they thought they were screaming

Not quite accurate...Baker Audio, the Atlanta company hired to supply the sound system, hauled in every speaker they had, creating about 5000 watts of amplification. As Paul began to introduce their third number, he stopped apparently amazed that he could hear his own voice and commented "It's loud isn't it? Great!" McCartney seemed to be delighted with the sound at Atlanta Stadium. Baker audio was later approached by The Beatle's management to consult on subsequent U.S. shows.
