BEST AND REALIST HIP HOP MOVIE EVER, others were hot , but turned commercial or into some love story or something. THIS IS HIP HOP IN IT'S TRUEST
FORM!!!!!!!!! Pardon me, i'm bout to cry ( damn i miss that feeling) !!!!!!!! and FAB 5 FREDDY is 1 of the coolest mthrfuckrz evr yo!!! Don't yall miss YO! MTV raps?
make you wanna throw on some CAZALS,Kangol, toothbrush the kicks, iron the laces and pick out a B.V.D. and some LEE's
for all yall that dont know, this is where it all began true hip hop/ harmonizing nuffin like this fake ass M.C'N u hear today. the shit makes me so sick i wish i can build a time traveler and go back in time. when rap was local (NYC) thats when it was real hip hop. all these other states hop'd on the band wagon thats when it got'n out of control. i kno ppl out of state is gonna be offended when they read my commnent. didnt mean to offend anyone.but if u are offended, oh well shake the shit off
As a southern cat I love this glimpse into tru NY slang and swagg from way back. It was more soulful & authentic. I think when hip hop blew up in the 80s and 90s, some guys from NY were imitating something they heard or saw on TV. Because the videos and radio said U from NY so u should act like this. But when it was underground and pure, these guys were just being who they were. I luv it. And I'm not hatin, cause I saw the same thing down South when it got more exposure. Hey, it happens.
...for those that don't know KK Rockwell and Lil' Rodney C were part of the Funky 4 + 1. When the group disbanded, they formed Double Trouble, they never did record as just a duo though
They were still in the group when they started filming this movie. When they were filming the "A to the motherfuckin K" scene, Rodney C told Fab 5 Freddy that the group broke up. Fab just said "Don;t worry, Double Trouble's going to be in this movie!". If you listen, the group breaking up is what this whole stoop rap is about.
