I remember when this first came out..I loved it and still do..I've turned a lot of people on to them... Sound Garden came out at the same time and I think everyone went in their direction...I love these guys one of those albums you can listen to front to back

They remind me of The Black Crowes and Billy Squier for some reason. I've got this cd. Awesome stuff. Just good, hard, bluesy rock.

What a damn shame...it's always same kind of BS..that breaks up bands ...women or drugs..fights ..the whole 9 yards..makes me sick...thats why i quit playing in bands to many heart aches...i was always the one that tried to hold it together,but in the end..i said screw it..wish these guys could put all this behind them and put some new stuff out..i got all their cd's . If that rumor is true about the girl friend ..he should have dumped her anyway..friends forever..girlfriends..1 hour.

ok Gents, here's the deal, not sure about the stage freight thing, but they split because Kelly ended up screwing the drummer's girlfriend and got her pregnant, how do I know? I helped Kelly with afew words on the "Too cold in the winter" song.

I agree, it is sad they broke up, but Kelly is enjoying his Electrical Business in Raleigh, and still does gigs from time to time, like he did down here in Wilmingwood. advice? Sock it or Lock it. lol

We covered three of their tunes an a band I used to be in. Tough tunes to sing but we have a similar voice to him so I was able to nail the tunes. Definetly had to eat my vocal wheaties to stay on top of those tunes. Great album! I can listen to it start to finish.

Hey, everyone. This band was, in hindsight, killed when Kelly Holland, the singer in this video and on the band's debut album, 'Brother" quit just as the record was taking off. I loved this band dearly, and have never gotten over Kelly leaving. Can someone please find out why he split? If rock is dead, this was one of the death throes. Kelly, if you're out there, maybe the business has changed enough for the four of you to make some money doing things differently. There was chemistry.

@jimirymodestoca i read that the singer suffered from debilitating stage fright. While opening for Skynyrd and huge crowds, he just lost his nerve. : ( the guitar player, Audley ? Freed, went on to play with Chris Robinson in New Earth Mud. Check it out, they put out a couple great albums.

@deepcoverband1 Hey, thanks for the info! I saw Cry once in a small club. Though I can't say it was a great show, I never would have guessed that Kelly had that problem (he sounded great, though Audley did carry a lot of the load with long solos). I'm a huge Chris Robinson, and Black Crowes fan, though I had forgotten Audley played on the N.E.M. records. I've not listened to them start to finish, but I admit that I decided most of the material was too mellow for me. But great to meet you!
