It seems, to me, that WWE nowadays is mising that reality of it. Its not that blood and cussing make it better wrestling. It just gives it a more believeable feel. @SadwichPunch2100 WWE went PG because they get tons of shit what happened with Benoit so Vince went from being TV-14 to PG to get off the attention of the WWE. The storylines of pushing younger wrestlers into the main events like the AE does give them to use drugs to keep them going so Vince chose to keep them a low-profile. Blading and headshots are banned because they can lead to problems for human life.

I'm not saying what the WWE doing is right but they need to clean up it's image badly.

Blood doesn't make great wrestling, but it does add to the effect of the hardcore matches. When they announce an ambulance match, or I quit match now, i think that match will be slow, boring, uneventful and poor quality. Back in those days you used to get excited about what they would do to each other and how much blood there would be, what spots they would do. I prefer a singles match in nowadays WWE to a I quit match ect.

It's scripted, as in the outcome of the matches are determined by the creative team. And yes, it is obvious at times that punches are pulled and the guys are actually working together to pull off an entertaining match.

However, there are things which are simply done without gimmicks, and that includes chairshots. There's no way around it sothe guys do really smash each other in the head with a steel chair. That isn't faked.

Notice the angle changed because the view was obstructed by a photographer (0:02, guy coming in from the left), so they switched to another camera otherwise we, the tv viewers, wouldn't have seen what happened. There are at least half a dozen cameramen and photographers at ringside at any given time.
