also you should right click the video clip in vegas and select properties, then media and then you should see a box that says 1,000 square, click it and on the scroll down it should say 1,212 click that and then ok.
then go to the little menu above the video preview and you should see something like a tv sign next to it there is a properties icon. click it and go to where it says DV PAl (i think) change it to HD60i (america) then watch this back.
