@dwergling i was supposed to make another Guild Wars (1) vs World of Warcraft video but half way through editing it my computer blew up (literally ). So yea I pretty much screwed that up but I WILL be making a Guild Wars 2 vs World of Warcraft (cataclysm) which will be coming sometime soon :)

hmmm ive looked through these comments and all i can say is according to mmosite in highest ranked games "lost saga" and "atlantica" (which i've played and it was really good, axeman ftw :D) blow WoW out of the water, WoW isnt even on the top 10 list on mmosite but GW2 on the other hand is #3 in most anticipated so id say they got a solid foothold in the least, but based on trailer from GW2 site it looks like it'll be big. getting an actual pc instead of my laptop so i can run it w/o problems :)

@LesinCro Free to play games such as Maplestory (sucks but I have played much) get updates pretty much and that is not the only FTP game. Flaws? Well I'm not really sure what you meant by that. WoW can OFCOURSE have flaws too!
"U can buy items by money", that is not a fact for the FTP games, not every game is forced to have such a feature and not every FTP has it either. If you want to buy items with real money, then it's your choice. If you are addicted to WoW then you are taken by Satan!
Guild Wars's PvP system is quite nice from experience, particularly when considering balance. However, WoW's tends to be more engaging and offers many more rewards. GW is a solid MMO, but not a #1 contender
Guild Wars 2 may or may not be the only WoW Killer which I think in my opinion will be.. but what i think doesnt matter a thing because both are very enjoyable games! As long as you have fun playing! You should have fun playing the game you like.. not the games which others prefer.... and arguing about it wont matter aswell, both games are good and will be good forever because they both revolutionized online gaming!

@LesinCro ok dude how you make money in end game is farming and doing high end areas, you relize that is the only one part of that game it has 3 campains 1 expansion alot of story to go through which is sweet unlike other mmo's there isnt a story and you dont make a difference its just kill 10 rats ooo new shiny object than repeat, guild wars probaly has the best pvp out of all the mmo's, o yes and you can get skills from quests signets of captures dude honestly you dont know shit about gw

@gayfishby in GW there were hundreds of skills per proffesion, then you had dual proffesions, doubling your options and capabilities. And the 8 slot skill bar? Genius. You rele had to think and plan about your play style and approach. Not just use whatever is on hand at the time.
Hey I'm back and im still pissed. I forgot to mention in my last comment that WoW has over 13million subscribers. When i play GW i feel like im hardly playing a MMORPG at all. I'm basically running through the world alone and being completly bored. Especially in Nightfall. That shit was impossible to complete, even at lvl 20. GW has a limited number of spells for each class and you can only have like 8 spells on ur line at a time. WoW has hundreds of spells per class and you can use them all
i read through these comments and wonder why everyone likes graphics so much, alls they do is make you laggy and have a harder time playing, if blizzard wanted better graphics they would have put them in. but no they chose to go with the crapper quality probly for better game play, just my opinion

In World of Warcraft you get to ride on Dragons and Stuff. And you have siege weaponary in PvP. I think both games have some cool elements, granted I haven't played Guild Wars for a long time. The Graphic of Proto Drake Mounts own pretty much everything....xD
when i was outside gamestation on the tv they have they should the trailer for the lich king, at first i didnt know what game it was i was like 'this looks like a really good game' then at the end it said World Of Warcraft....... i was like disapointing lol... they should not make great trailers for such disapoint grahpics which arnt like the trailer... lol and i know people be like they do that with every game but they should never do that with wow lol

@crowspears runescape has it's good touches also, it's usually not all about the graphics but the rs gameplay, the ability of being able to do what you want when you want gives a sense of freedom in an mmo.

its funny about the graphics, they play those trailers about those games, but that doesnt mean its like that inside the game. Wow has horrable graphics compared to guild wars. and guild wars is almost close to its trailer graphics wise.

WoW is about the story of the games Warcraft. WoW continues the story of one of the most successful games in all times ! If u even try to watch the patch trailers you can connect the story from the end of Warcraft the frozen throne & World of Warcraft. How does Illidan is still alive, what happens with the aspects & etc...
That is why WoW was created: to continue one great saga of story & games ;)
honestly, companies are trying so hard to compete and make a better game than WoW, however, blizzard does not give a FUCK. Blizzard could careless so they basically ignore otehr games and just keep doing them. Guess what happens in the end? WoW still turns out to be a better game regardless of how good graphics are. Simply because those companies are uncreative and try to steal ideas from blizzard so they try so hard to make those ideas better but they end up overdoing it and making it worse.

I found a video response where the uploaded descibes what he thinks of guild wars. Funny how I agree and have said and think basically almost the same thing about Guild Wars.
The uploader of that video did a better job describing things though.
i think that guild wars 1 is based more on tactic, gamepplay and so on than wow for geeking n stuff and playing all day leveling up, when you in guild wars lvl up too 20 in 2 hours and then go pvp or something
My opinion, I think GW is much better then WoW. I've tried to play Warcraft and couldn't get into it, especially the graphics. WAY too cartoony and I didn't like that.
With GW, you get more customization with your characters, account and whatnot, let alone the free online play. Though, GW2 will be much better then the existing GW. Even though it's chock full of fun.

@gayfishby in GW there were hundreds of skills per proffesion, then you had dual proffesions, doubling your options and capabilities. And the 8 slot skill bar? Genius. You rele had to think and plan about your play style and approach. Not just use whatever is on hand at the time.

Hey I'm back and im still pissed. I forgot to mention in my last comment that WoW has over 13million subscribers. When i play GW i feel like im hardly playing a MMORPG at all. I'm basically running through the world alone and being completly bored. Especially in Nightfall. That shit was impossible to complete, even at lvl 20. GW has a limited number of spells for each class and you can only have like 8 spells on ur line at a time. WoW has hundreds of spells per class and you can use them all

I played both and i liked both (gw more than wow but ok)
in my eyes its obvious that wow feels threatened by competition of gw2 and so they make a new addon which should let the wowplayer stay
the story of a changing world and the dragons is obviously, OBVIOUSLY copied by blizzard. in gw it was since eye of the north clear that it will have an important role and blizzard is not able to thing about an own story
gw2 will pwn wow because of gameplay diversity and it will bring a new era of mmorpg

In World of Warcraft you get to ride on Dragons and Stuff. And you have siege weaponary in PvP. I think both games have some cool elements, granted I haven't played Guild Wars for a long time. The Graphic of Proto Drake Mounts own pretty much everything....xD

when i was outside gamestation on the tv they have they should the trailer for the lich king, at first i didnt know what game it was i was like 'this looks like a really good game' then at the end it said World Of Warcraft....... i was like disapointing lol... they should not make great trailers for such disapoint grahpics which arnt like the trailer... lol and i know people be like they do that with every game but they should never do that with wow lol

Wow, WoW for one is nothing but eating a whole in you're pocket and stripping you of money you will need in life, and for one WoW also steals away you're life, and for what non existent crap that will NOT benefit you in any way, except fill Blizzards pockets, While Gw is something you can play for the great pvp, and action like most 360, of ps3 games, and it doesn't suck you into it and steal you're life awya, did I mention Gw doesn't have a fucking montly fee..

If u even try to watch the patch trailers you can connect the story from the end of Warcraft the frozen throne & World of Warcraft. How does Illidan is still alive, what happens with the aspects & etc...
That is why WoW was created: to continue one great saga of story & games ;)

honestly, companies are trying so hard to compete and make a better game than WoW, however, blizzard does not give a FUCK. Blizzard could careless so they basically ignore otehr games and just keep doing them. Guess what happens in the end? WoW still turns out to be a better game regardless of how good graphics are. Simply because those companies are uncreative and try to steal ideas from blizzard so they try so hard to make those ideas better but they end up overdoing it and making it worse.

My opinion, I think GW is much better then WoW. I've tried to play Warcraft and couldn't get into it, especially the graphics. WAY too cartoony and I didn't like that.
With GW, you get more customization with your characters, account and whatnot, let alone the free online play. Though, GW2 will be much better then the existing GW. Even though it's chock full of fun.
