@themistoklesv NO.. it's not.. helmets are designed with a smooth surface to eliminate are drag-thus reducing wind noise.. most of the noise you hear comes from the open chin area.. My arai corsair-V comes with a chin spoiler to eliminate wind. if you're concerned about wind noise, I'd suggest using earplugs.. it's like riding in heaven.. I ride with music playing, so I hear no wind at all.. :) ride safely my friend.. tigerpause

@chauboii some of the helmets have been damaged when they were modified.. making them non DOT approved helmets. another reason is, if a rider were to fall while wearing one of these lids, the protrusions could cause the helmet to fall incorrectly, causing neck injuries

Haha, that's great. That definitely had to be fun for everyone to go hang out together rocking the helmets. I imagine they have to make for some terrible wind noise, turbulence, and lift at higher speeds. But it's not an everyday thing so it can be overlooked. I want to make a helmet of my own now, thanks.

@MadProfessor153 these are definitely fun to wear.. it's even more fun to see kids reactions.. adult reactions are cool too, but adults are reserved.. boo! the cook adults react full-heartedly.. like you.. regarding turbulence: the 2 helmets that give me the most turbulence are Jack in the Box (come to my channel to see this lid - that isn't on this video), and Darth Vader.. all the other helmets are fine up to 80MPH. Regarding noise: I wouldn't know. I always listen to music when I ride.

I recommend riding motorcycles to people that love life, and are careful drivers.. it truly takes a sharp mentality to ride motorcycles.. 95% of riding is knowing how to think while riding.. the other 2.5% is balance, and the other 2.5% is coordination.. the freedom of being on a bike is like no other. the fear?adrenaline rush is like no other.

@ZackTheGentleman stick with the 3 best brands.. for you, I'd start with a Yamaha R6, Honda CBR600, or a GSXR600. I've ridden all three brands, and I feel most confident on the Honda and Suzuki.. I love my R1, don't get me wrong.. but for some reason, the GSXR and CBR just have a very sturdy feel to them..
