SO SAD... This was the home of my dear friends. Luckily, they are in the process if rebuilding, this summer of 2011. My heart goes out to them.

We are from Ohio and were planning to come to Big Sur for the first leg of our vacation. Very sad to see all the fires consuming so much of the area. We'll miss getting to see how beautiful the Big Sur coastline is (much of the area is closed to tourism and evacuations are underway for some residential areas). Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
