I used to own a few old Macs and vintage Powerbooks. They were all very well made and sturdy. Even the floppy disked were mechanically operated, very cool. The very fact that many of these machine are still working shows how well they were made. You don't see stuff like that these day in this age of made cheaply as possible computers and gadgets.
I find it hilarious that today when people are working with mother boards and such they do so in a static room with ozone clean suits. Back in the day it was some guy in a sweater with no gloves. Lol nice.
It's sad that regardless of the better reliability, pride and build, most companys now get their systems made in third party factories where most of the assembly and testing is done purely by machine.
I had an old 78 RankArena TV set that was built in Australia and was still going when I got rid of it.
i would have thought that apple would have a more automated and faster process for making their circuit boards.. but i guess they do now, as this is a very old video
I remember when jobs announce that Mac OS X was going to be ported to Intel, Dell rapidly said to apple that he will be more than happy to ship Dells with OS X, lolz!! I think dell is a Apple fanboyz
Apple is doing way super ok compared to dell. Apple has better business model, they innovate, have a more stable future. Dell in the other hand is stuck with Windows and Linux needs more work or needs commercial applications to be ported. So dell is stuck with those 2 OS, sad for real. Apple now owns the cellphone market and the mp3 players market AND they have the itunes store which I think is number 2 retailer store in music, right behind wallmart. Dell?? dell what?
To do some physical education...because it looks funny....or he's just bored. ;D I think thats right. If the mac is slippery, he will crash on the bottom..so..! ^^
man... it be great if apple still had an apple factory like that here in the u.s.a. giving people more jobs and keeping more mony here insted of giving away the mony to places like china.

I suppose you just pour a bucket of hot solder on to a pile of chips, shovel it into an enclosure and call it a day?

Ironically enough, Apple was one of the last companies that built their computers in the U.S. My dads 8 year old powermac g4 was built in the U.S
TheTravisChannel 9 months ago 2
@TheTravisChannel This is true. My circa 2000 PowerMac G4 was also made in the US. And it still works to this day.

whoever uploaded this is a genius because we all get to see how Apple made Macs...
and I wasnt even born in 1990!

36 hours... Minus 24 hours of software exercises, is 12 hours to make a Macintosh.

this one is a MAC and Dell is a shitty somewhat like a MAC. Whatever Apple makes or the design they come out with Dell will copy it.
Dell is such a useless company. They need to be bankrupted

Apple is doing somewhat ok without dell helping them out....
