Huckabee lacks powers of reason or at least practices "selective reasoning". Denying evolution is tantamount to denying the existance of the sciences of biology, microbiology, astronomy and geology (among others). Say "ta ta" to science education, biomedical research (already beaten down by Bush)or the prospect of stem cell research. He's Bush with a slightly less obnoxious attitude.

It is not the Truth (whether such a thing exists is up for debate). And it certainly is not the end all and be all of our existence. But I do love science - espcially physics!!!

Science is the means in which we attempt to understand the world using reason. Faith doesn't need reason. Following a candidate led by their faith - any faith - is to be led by irrationality.

My point, Shewib, was that biological evolution encompasses a broad spectrum of scientific disciplines including chemistry (radiometric dating), geology (plate tectonics, historical geology), biochemistry, genetics, astronomy, cosmology, etc. If you deny evolution, you deny these fields of science that prove the scale of the universe in space and time.
