WIDER wheels. at a certain point bigger isn't better. It's all bout getting the perfect size. And it won't make it faster, just corner better. Believe it or not, larger width/diameter tires require more energy to turn, so you could say that they make your car slower. I just went from 13x5 wheels to 15x7.5 wheels and you can tell the difference in the amount of power required to launch. But the cornering improved exponentially. Just something to think about...

I mean TALLER.. lets say from 12s to 15s. it can work.. todays rims and TIRE way less then that MINI wheel... it will raise the speed dramatically without sacrifice of power.. even if the wheels were slighly hevier.. wont feel the differance since he ahs lot of HP.

Weight of the tyre/rim isn't really a factor, within reason. He was talking about inertia. It takes a much larger force to turn a 15 than a 13 at the same revolutions which means off the block you're losing time.

What will turn faster.. lets say a 12 inch wheel that weights 100 KILLOS? or 16 inch wheel that only weights half a killo? Comon.. you know it..

lets be honest here.. there arnt any 12 inch wheels that weight 100 kilos are there... if there was u wouldnt be using them thats for sure.. a 10 inch wheel will accelerate alot faster than a larger 13 or 15 inch wheel... as stronmr said it take more power to spin are larger wheel than a smaller one.. why do you think the cogs in your gearbox are different sizes and not sure different weights?
