And personally, I support "no" to any reckless spending the Democrats and their ridiculous fake stimulus. Obama's gonna have us spending up to $9 Trillion in national debt over the next decade! It may be a little less but not a whole lot (2.2 vs. 2.6% GDP growth).

I mean, no serious economist who knows his stuff thinks the stimulus bill will help. It'll be counterproductive or benign. Romer and Bernstein are idiots. So is Paul Krugman. They're laughingstocks.

Did the Democrats have any alternative to Bush's SS privatization? Absolutely not. At least not any viable alternative. They may have wanted to cut benefits (ridiculous) or raise the retirement age (and make seniors wait longer, jackasses), but those are failed policies that only reduce SS payments and keep it solvent for a short period of time. And then you'd have to keep cutting more benefits or raise the age even further as time goes by. And then pretty soon, you'll have to be 70 for ss.
