bend you r knees at time with the hook, and staight rights. be relaxed, loosen your shoulder girdle, swing your hips show your power, if you used your hips more, then those punches would come out more. but all this depends on height and stuff, i notice 5'11 5'10 guys with tyson build got fast punches. and blow out air from the nose rather than your mouth. great stuff
No Bas isnt a boxer, he is a MMA legend. And his stand up abilitys are without question excellent. Why dont you ask Bas to go a few rounds with you tough guy, show him how to box aye mate?
anyone that wants a good workout from that tape should use the heavy bag and gloves move around it in between the combos and like Bas says "do everything 100% make yourself tired" The 2min 10 round tape where theres spawls is a good workout for with the bag.
As a trained boxer, he is still putting nothing into his punches. No body into ANYTHING he's throwing. No pivot on the hooks or even the body twist that Bas teaches. Every single thing he's throwing is all arm with no body.
All I see are his broken thumbs. Is this his mistake or does your gym really train this way. In all the styles I have trained in this has always been a huge no-no, especcialy if he throws the hook, the guy moves his head back, he will brake his thumbs.
I don't punch like that but yah, I thought it was weird for Adam to do that. I think it's because he's used to wearing big boxing gloves and if you've ever worn 12-16oz boxing gloves, you'll know that you don't actually make a completely closed fist when you punch because of the big padding around the thumb, so it kinda sticks out. That's my theory anyway, lol

He's doing the hooks wrong. When he says 3,4,5 hooks, you alternate each arm, not 3,4,5 left hooks and twist your body and move around.
