I went to Latin Mass at first time by accident. I felt it is more spiritual and less distraction. now I mostly attend Lain mass, I am in 40's so this is something new to me. I will say those people who never attend Latin Mass should at least attend once or twice.
God is offended by receiving Him on "dirty" hands(ONLY priest can touch Him) in the Holy Eucharist!
Only accepted by Heaven form of receiving living Heart of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist of the Catholic Church is into our mouth and on our both knees!
It's clear that the pro novus ordo Bishop hates Catholicism so much that he's willing to do whatever is necessary to isolate Catholic priests like Fr. Kloster.
Please pray for Father Kloster, may JesusChrist and Virgin Mary help him to persevere!!
@yankeesuperstar Of course that he's still a priest, a priest is a priest forever. He has just been removed from his Parish by the pro novus Ordo Bishop, last thing I heard was that may joined some other Spanish Priests and relocate to South America.
I love the Traditional Latin Mass. I do not "know" Latin. I follow it by reading the 1962 Roman Missal, which I bought from a local Catholic bookstore. What I love about it is its reverence. Everyone present is focused on the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. No distraction. Interesting that the majority who attend are under the age of 40.
Alls I know is when I sing with all my heart and soul at mass with someone else singing with all their heart and soul, I am focused on God/Jesus/the eucharist. I am tired of critics and people desiring perfection, liturgical pettyness. I read the bible, Jesus welcomed noisy people, and corrected his disciples when they were annoyed at noisy petitioners. When I sing and worship the rest of the day is filled with echos of the mass in my heart, completely contrary to what the priest is claiming.
perfection of the mass is very important because this is christ home and christ body we will take in this is not a concert this is not a protestant worship this is catholic witch means tradition..its a huge part of the one true church of christ.. witch is the catholic church
Only problem is, people aren't perfect, so you're not going to get your perfect mass. The only PERSON that is perfect is Christ and he has invited all of us to the table. One of the people that thought she was perfect was Martha and you know what Jesus said to her.
Good luck with being perfect before the eyes of the Lord. Please, let me know if you succeed at this, I'd like to meet you, but you may not want to meet me, because I can guarantee you that I will reveal to you your imperfections with ease. So, do you really think Jesus wants perfection? He came to heal the sinners and sick, he told the perfect people to go away...that's in the bible right? I'll leave it to you to find that verse/story.
from your comments, it seems like you did not at all understand what he was saying. did you listen to all four of the videos? he talked about the priest not being the focus. I find prayerful silence to be very powerful. what is passive about prayerful silence?

silence has its place, I read the bible, silence should be private, in your own room. The time where the community gets together to praise and worship at mass, to be in full communion, this is not a time for silence. Maybe sometimes, but most of the time, people should be actively communing, worshipping in a very lively way. The mass is a celebration, one must know in a fully active way what he is doing, hence the utter uselessness of using Latin or any other FOREIGN language
Your idea of mass is incomplete... Remember that the mass is primarily the sacrifice of Christ. Silence is an appropriate disposition for such an event as the perpetuation of the death of our Lord for our sins. We do not see the Blessed Mother at the foot of the cross "worshiping in a very lively way". Silence has a very significant place in the liturgy because it expresses the ineffable nature of these mysteries... it says more than words can.
Your perspective is not in line with the tradition of the Church. You should read actual documents from the Church and should study up on the Liturgical traditions; there is no place for your perspective. You must set aside your personal preferences and submit yourself to the Authority of God which subsists in the Great Tradition of the Church.
Why do people want to go to a mass spoken in a foreign language they can't understand? Mass should not be a passive experience, no matter how noble the priest might portray this passiveness, it is wrong to promote silence at a celebration and offering that is in reallity the presence of the body and blood of Jesus Christ.
If I go to France, I understand not a single thing in the Mass. In a Latin Mass, I would at least understand some things: it would not matter where I am.
I certianly hope seminarians do not take this seriously, their job as a priest is to serve the lowly commoner, not some intellectual elite who knows Latin and proudly presents himself before all others in a flourish of pomp and tradition which takes emphasis over the true offering of the mass. The priests job at the mass as the head 'celebrant' is to be a conduit of the peoples offering, not the focus of the offering.
he said the priest should not be the focus. there are 4 parts of the talk. didnt you see that one? I'm not some intelectual elite. Spanish is my first language. knowing some latin helps in learning other languages including English. I follow along in the book.

The church used the commoners tongue, hence it was vulgar not the classical elitist Latin. The common people in America do not use Latin, most do not use Spanish either. Pentacost was all about Jesus reaching out to the world's cultures. Jesus would never demand people to become academics to appreciate or understand Him. Mass is a place for loud and joyful celebration, communion, not an emphasis on contemplation.
Wrong! The job of the priest is not to serve the commoner, it is to serve God first. The priest at mass in an 'Alter Christus' ...another Christ, so it is Christ that offers the Sacrifice through the ministry of the priest. Thats why there are private masses as well, the people do not need to be there because the priest offers to God the Father his Son, the same Sacrifice of the Cross that he made in Jerusalem 2000 years ago.
I was a sacristan at a major Catholic University that had hundreds of priests, they said mass privately everyday, but they needed SPECIAL PERMISSION to do so and common canon law states there must be other people at the mass for the transformation of the bread and wine to the body and blood to be valid.
