yeah it really is fckin slow compared to smartphones out there

and this lag thinggy really gets on ur nerves

but for what it's worth, the design's really great. plus nice lcd quality.

and u'r gonna love running movies with 21:9 resolution.

btw i wonder if they still sell this phone.

i bought it for like 700 bucks 2 years ago, right after it came out.

totally aint worth that price. 2/4-3/4 the price of it would've been rational.

I have to wonder though...wasn't the popular thing about the chocolate's the slider form factor, cool colors, and being an overall music oriented phone. Whereas this is candy bar form factor, black, and being more movie oriented with no real way to get movies onto it! If I was LG I would have released this as something else. Like the "LG Cinema" or "LG Panorama"

This phone is the biggest piece of shit I've ever had. This phone glitches, has hardware and software problems, and it just blows overall.

I can't even use the mp3 feature with mine and I've tried on 5 computers. I talked to the HIGHEST level of tech support at LG. His solution "Forget the internal mp3 memory (that's supposed to be part of the phone), just go buy an SD card, and put your mp3's on your phone as data..." Wow, thanks.

This phone is an epic fail, I'm gonna buy out my contract.

i've been comparing the new chocolate, and crystal. if i actually EVER used the normal keypad, i would choose crystal, but since i always stick to my QWERTY, the awesome see-through keypad on crystal would just be wasted....

Its of course no iphone, where everything is absolutely responsive.

But you can tolerate the lagness of the phone. It isn't as laggy as people say it is. Its just slow some of the times.

thats a long screen !! LG really standed for Lucky Goldstar and a Korean Brand. Everyone thought the name sounded cheesy so the company shortened it to LG and they changed it to stand for Life's Good:) ((im Korean))

The server/service. They are on a different network from the us. Its too expencive to convert phones to our network(s). And most likly the phone didnt work over there so they never bothered to try to bring it over here

Thats the thing you cant really do on it. Cus thik about it, it will be either widescreen but parts of the top and bottom will be missing. If not then it will be stretched. Otherwise it will be normal original size so there will be black boxes at the sides. You cant really get movies for that resolution yet, so...

When you turn the phone on its side its true cinema aspect ratio. When you buy a DVD now its in this ratio.

If you watch a Full screen tv show or something then yes you will have side bars, but pretty much any new widescreen TV would have this same problem.

with the Iphone when you watch widescreen movies you have black bars on the top and bottom unless you stretch the image.

For me this is true resolution for widescreen movies. Perfect multimedia phone.

well it depends if you can actually buy a film in the 21:9 ratio. Most normal DVD are a 4:3 or something like that. There are blu-ray and HDdvd but they are a 16:9 screen ratio which is true widescreen. There are not many films around with a 21:9 screen ratio without being stretched. im sure ther will be some soon. But not sure it will be in such big fashion because SONY and other manufacturers are starting to produce 3D TV's so soon we will have 3D screen phones. So...

True cinema ratio is 2.4:1 (look it up) (in US anyway)

if you multiply 2.4 and 1 by 9 you get 21.6 : 9 which is about what this phone is.

When you buy a DVD in 16:9 it will have bars at the top and bottom because a 16:9 TV is taller than your 2.4:1 cinema ratio.

I haven't seen any DVD's for sale in standard 4:3 in over a year. This format is outdated ( Canada and the US anyway)

16:9 is not true widescreen if you go by the aspect ratio movies are filmed in. which is 2.4:1 (or 21.6:9)
