@DJJovian - If you have seen these guys perform live, it is hard for them (Ben and Chris) to relax because they're doing so much other shit to make the music happen.. But this is just Ben's style more than anything I think. Awsome performers though. Same thing if you ever see Coldplay live. Why does it sound like his voice is just slightly autotuned? I wouldn't put it past ben to have that perfect of a voice, but it really sounds autotuned.

@drummerlinn I've listened to this set a lot, all of the songs are like that and I think it's just the way the vocals have a lot of reverb and then got compressed that makes it sound autotuned. I tried this with my own voice in my home studio just now, and if you're on pitch (or slightly off even) and you do the effects in that order it can sound like that.

@drummerlinn I doubt it's auto tuned.  Auto tune is very obvious when used live, because it doesn't let you use vocal slides. It just jumps right to the correct note. You remember the Black-Eyed Peas' Superbowl half-time performance? That was auto tuned, and you can tell very easily. But in this, Ben sings with a lot of slides and vibrato in his lead vocal. If there were auto tune in this performance, I don't think either of those would be possible.

@thewriter1008 There are different kinds (levels) of auto tuning. It's obviously not the T-pain cranked up max kind, it sounds like the only slightly touched kind. What the other guy replied with (The reverb before super compression concept) made sense to me. I drummed for a local production of rent last year that included an actor with a freakishly perfect voice pitch wise that also sounded autotuned . So I can imagine Ben possibly having that too.
