Actually his paws were really bad when we rescued him. He als had ringworm on about 70% of his body. He is bathed in Miconazole 3x a wk and the paws cleared up and ringworm went away. But now he has lumps. And I mean EVERYWHERE. Only thing I can think of is the food. My dogs all eat Science Diet Healthy Mobility and have for yrs. But it won't hurt to switch to natural and give it a try. Do u make your own food? If not, what brand do you recommend?
I am assuming you have taken the poor guy to your local Vet and if not you should to rule out other health conditions. If you don't plan on making your dog food (highly recommend) I have seen good result on dog allergies with California Natural limited ingredients you may have to try a few different kinds (lamb, chicken, etc.), to see if its one of the meats he is allergic too. You can also try Orijen be careful with this one as the protein level is high and may have a tough time absorbing.
Thank you for this. I recently started fostering dogs for my local shelter and my new foster boy has been having HORRIBLE skin issues. Pea sized lumps all over his body and a rash on his belly. I'm going to try something all natural with no additives or preservatives and see if this helps. Thanks again.
Our own dog was having reaction to one or more ingredients as his paws where breaking out...by removing a few ingredients we got to the bottom of his allergy and everything has been fine since. So definitely give a natural meal a try.
