Not trying to take anything away from the powerstroke, seeing as I drive one myself, but uhm did the guy in the mustang just give it 1/8th throttle off the line? Cause that thing was slow as shit off the line.
Well you definately ain't runnin a 12 sec. 1/4.....not sure if you was trying to say that or not....Runs way good for a stroke though. We got three trucks in the 12's and two of them are spraying with a .102 and the other a .110 jet. The other has an aurora 5000 turbo in it. They are all in the mid 12's...That thing launches good for sure.
I have only ran a the ruck at the track a few times( we are always towing the car and dont want to break it). Last year when I had 33's on the truck and DJs tunes it ran 13.55 in the 1/4 and 8.6x in the 1/8. A few weeks later at a local 1/8 mile track it ran a 7.91 with Innovative diesels "xtreme street" tune and nitrous(should be a HIGH 12 sec. pass). We upped the jetting from a .52 to a .73 but didnt pick up anything so i assumed the truck was just out of fuel/ injector.
Hell yeah, 13.5 is way better than anything I've ever seen a stroke do around here. Suppose to break rods at anything over 420HP which would be good for a 13.5-13.8. Definately the quickest stroke I've seen....other than Zane's lol. That 7.3 does work!!!
eric at Innovative Diesel 6.0 PSD ran 13 flat with just intake, exhaust and tune. he got a Suncoast trans, Zex kit and bigger Injectors. he running low 11s maybe 10s now. you think 13s fast for a 6.0 powerstroke? that's avenge.
Kinda hard to not be able to drive an automatic....pretty much just hit the gas and you go. Listen closely and you'll hear the auto shifts, it finally hooks up and shifts back down.

Too bad the stang is an auto. The downshift near the middle was the auto trying to find the right gear with no traction

So....12 second 1/8????
Jstewy20 2 years ago
For the Mustang most likely...
Truck runs 8.0-8.1 with the 35's on.
Its been 7.91 with the 33's and current tune/nitrous jetting(.52).
Runs 8.60 with no nitrous.

@NOSJNKY How are you running 35's? Do those rub at all? Exactly what size tire and wheels are you running?
lopinslow17 2 years ago
They rub a little at FULL lockup. It has a leveling kit with 325/65-18's on Gear Alloy 18x9" rims.

that guy in the mustang needs to learn how to shift
BAFordtruck 2 years ago
Yeah if it wasn't an automatic....but seeing as it is if you listen closely you'll see. It shifts up then the tires hook and it shifts back down.
