Oh god, this was such an epic tale. This is simply one of those awesome games that make you scream...REMAKE FOR 360 or PS3!

Prices on Gamestop:

System with Controller and all cables: $30 - I recommend the original, bulky version as opposed to the slim version. I have friends who had the slim version and the insides literally melted on them from the heat.

Sony Memory Card - $5 - I recommend the Sony made kind, not 3rd party as they're less reliable.

@bitbat9 Be sure to play them in order this time around. By in order I mean 4, 5 then Zero. You'll better appreciate the jump in technology between installments and how they upgraded the enemy A.I. as well. Zero was much harder than 4 was.

The ACs after Zero did not match up to the PS2 ones. Sure, they were "faster-paced" and more "action-oriented", but is that what we really want? The brake-turning almost made all planes equal in terms of agility. There was a far better balance in 4/5/Z with how each plane handled and played differently. Seems like DFM and ASM "plays" the game for us. There was a challenge in dropping a UGB instead of having it lock on like AC:AH.

Online Plane/Pilot XP like MW3's system (Perk: Barrel Roll Pro?), respawn timers like AH's, varied offense/defense game modes (Megalith 8v8 would rock!), the list could go on.

I played AC series from AC2. for me, AC5 and ACZ giving emotional experience thru the whole game... not playing AC6 yet, and AC4 is great but not close enough to give feeling about war emotion.

I consider Ace Combat 5 one of the greatest games I've ever played. An amazing story that completely hooked me, a shit ton of authentic planes that 99% of us will never set foot in, characters I actually cared about, and did all this from a cockpit at Mach 1 plus. Long live the Demons of Razgriz.

This game kicked so much ass. The graphics were amazing, and hold up to some flight games released for the next gen consuls. The plot got you so emotionally invested. They were YOUR FLIGHT. this is the best story line of any game ive ever played, graphics and big guns are fun, but what makes a game great, is a story line that draws you back to it and makes ur emotions move, the only thing i want to know from the game is the piano song that plays at the end of the final mission, the 2 enemy squadrons come in and you have a dog fight, but if you do it fast enough ur left with some extra time before you can engage the satalite and that song that plays is what i want to find.
