I think laughing at what the child is saying is perfectly fine. However, I don't agree with the way the parents encourage her. I think that goes too far, and is rude. There's also the "know your audience" thing too... It's inappropriate to put in public.

I watched my parents do the same thing for my three younger siblings where they would try to get them to pronounce something and it came out wrong. After a few months of that, they figured out how to pronounce it correctly. And my parents never corrected them either. You really need to shut up.
