that's just a place where thieving bastards took refuge from their poor victims if you think about it ... and you are just another victim of their propaganda ... mate.
it really nice to know about korean, since korean drama widely watched most entire nation. frankly, i 've do not have any idea about interesting places in korea except the lake where winter sonata where shooting.
hope you can add some info cause some of the place have be as a location for the movie..
hey, i'll probably be heading to hwaseong fortress with my family when we visit seoul next week, but i was just wondering, how long do you recommend we explore the fortress?
cause i have no clue on how long we might need to take to cover the fortress (one or two hours or a day?)
To walk the entire perimeter it will take a few hours. Depending on when you go (Saturday or Sunday) there are also some free performances at Hwaseong Haenggung (the palace inside the fortress). I'd allocate half a day to fully explore everything it has to offer.
It's really marvellous understanding about Korea, even though you stayed not for a long during your journey. Those are explained sophiscately in the view of a foreigner. I live in Suwon. Anyway, I should study more about our genuine culutre as you did.
I really, and deeply appreciate you. I respect you. You are worthy to be praised.
i'm so impressed of your knowledge about Korean history...! i watched the whole thing intensely.. I live in cheonan, and i want to visit Hwaseong sometime..:D
I'll come from Seoul and head to Suwon soon, so I guess I'll the direct route (train/bus to front gate). Will probably stay in the area for 2 days so shouldn't be a problem to cover most of it.. ^^
We just got back from Niagara Falls and visited Old Fort Erie. It was the sight of one of the bloodiest battles of the 1812 war. It was rebuilt in the 1930's. I didn't take any footage on our vacation because our DVR is still being fixed :( There's a few forts and the like in the NJ area. I'll have to share some soon.

Suwon is the only city in South Korea that is still surrounded by the walls from its ancient times.
Great vid!

That was a great tour, huge fortress! I love the the Buddha Statue. One question, is it fog or smog cutting the visibility?
Maiyanna 3 years ago
Possibly some smog, but it was overcast, humid, and rainy too.
