aww naw!!imagine actually strollin intea a boozer n leith n sein that!!!!utterly magical!spellbindingly magical!!!!!!!!!ye diny really get that thesedays and it makes me sad
Great tune. Fabulous group. Slick as ever. Makes it all look so easy, also my feet tap. So why are audience members visible on this clip looking so damn miserable...???
Does anyone know if it is typical for the Irish flute to be held on the left, like it is in this video. It is making me crazy, because it looks backward. Can you hold it on the right like a concert flute?
The irish flute is just a non bohem style concert flute. Its tone and playing style is actually an english classical 19th century style and was adopted by the celtic nations of scotland and ireland once bohem flutes became popular. there is no real prefered way to hold the flute, the player may be left handed or prefers that way.
I'm with clarebannerman. Give us all you got. Great stuff. As good as it gets. I've followed Aly Bain across the world, well at least as far as Scotland. He's the Man

Bit too melodic for this particular piece. Like the rough versions better.

@alyfan99 Ha, it looks a bit like him doesn't it? Wouldn't surprise me either -- there's not much that man can't do.
