@ hellbender31 First off he was my idol, LOVED him & still do. When he was found he had 2 crack pipes and needles with heroin on the coffee table and he was on the couch. Autopsy confirmed it was a speedball mixture of the two that did it. He weighed 98 pounds :[ The sad part is he was so beautiful from the troubles that followed him. If he would have had a perfect childhood he would still be here today but, the music wouldn't be. This is tragic.

@icd33 Layne usually took LSD and ACID, and he did die from a heroin overdose. All of these drugs have an effect on vocals. They might improve them or worsen them depends on the vocalists voice.

They were/are the greatest. Not only was it deep & heavy & true, but he really could sing. A lot of the bands just yelled, but he had the voice. Never can get sick of this!
