The difference between this Donkey Flip and an Air Screw is very minor, as this was a rafter larger Donkey Flip but still a Donkey Flip. Notice how the trick wasn't landed on a flat hull, but instead on the side rail and quickly brought up right with a paddle stroke on the landing. A True Air Screw will land flat hull and only need a landing stroke to help keep the boat from flushing off the wave a.k.a giving forward momentum.
Many People are quick to claim the Air Screw but don't get them.
as a definition they are the exact same but a pistol flip is the wave version where a mcnasty would be it done in a hole. but a lot of people refer to both as mcnastys
