Try going to a concert now that doesnt suck massive ass that isnt from the greatest generation of rock. Late 70's - early 90's. After that its all power chords and autotune. Im glad I was part of this era. 80's pop is ass too :)

As much as I love the acoustic version they did later on, this is how I like "Alone" best - with the keyboards, the banging drums and a full-on electric guitar. It's the ultimate power ballad !!!

what an amazing decade. i was born in it but would've loved to have been old enough to have seen lives performances from amazing talent unlike any other such as bands like heart and bon jovi. i've gone to a few bon jovi concerts nowadays but can only imagine what they would have been like during the 80's when they were young and at their prime.

I've always thought this song always sounded better live than the recorded version. Ann was able to put so much more passion into a live show than in a recording studio. A lot of videos show that too.

@worstnews I've heard it in concert THREE times. I know what it sounds like. I have heard it acoustic with guitars and with the keyboards. I fell in love with the ORIGINAL version and that's what I want to hear in concert. I''ve only heard the original power ballad version twice. It was the power ballad which soared to #1 in 1987 and became the #2 song of the year. When the acoustic version was released as a single it didn't even crack the Hot 100. Original Power Ballad wins.

I saw these at the NEC, UK in the 80's. Before this came on, the lights went down and it all went quiet, all my hairs stood on end and i somehow knew what was coming. Then the opening notes started and the place erupted. It was my first concert ever and i had never yelled so loud as i did then....What a moment. Thanks for posting. :)
