  • Hi! I have a G17 gen 3 and the front sight have a little white plastic insert. ¿Can I put this sight without troubles in this model of GLOCK? Thanks a lot for to put your aknowlegment in the web and sorry about my poor English, I am argentine.

  • Do they need to be zeroed in after installing them? If so then how do you know if they're zeroed in and the gun won't shoot left/right or high/low?

  • when you screwed the wood into the table, how loose was the slide? loose enough to gently move it back and forth? or tight enough to where you have to give it to move it back and forth? has your methed ever failed on doing the sights? i'm a little nerves doing it your way. don't mind my 101 questions

  • The Rear sight on my M1911 keeps getting VERY loose. Any ideas? I went to the range twice and both times it worked its way free. I put a small drop of clear finger nail polish on the small Allen screw ,seemed tight until I shot it , but it still is finger loose again......:( HELP Thanks

How do I align the rear sight before glueing it down? Just eye ball it?

  • When you take the front sight off with the pliers, it came off real easily. Did you have to loosen the screw first , in anyway, on the end under the slide?

  • "You don't have to muscle this shit down, these are ity bity old threads man!"

  • @DoDew

Yeah that's easy for me to do cuz I have the family inherited "vise grip" hands. If people like locking it down they may want to locktite the nut too, it ain't gonna hurt it that's for sure. Also Marine Locktite is more of a rubbery substance made for stuff on boats so if you have another firearm without Tenifer or Melonite, you can use that to help fight against rust build up underneath and around the sights.

  • Good info, thanks !

  • yes found it thanks man just saved 30$

  • TALK LOUDER!

  • Thanks Great Video

  • thanks for the poor man gun smith videos, keep it up

  • Hi.can I just replace my stock fix front with any front night sight? i dont want to replace my stock fix rear sights.

  • Awesome! Thanks a lot!

  • Sick vid, I was going to have a gunsmith install night sights but I think ill try and do it myself. Thanks bro!

  • Thx for all the great vids. would you think it be same for an xd sights?

  • Most likely but I can't be for sure cause I simply don't own a XD at the time.

  • hi dude i got these sights

trijicon target three dot (not glow in the dark) but metal

and some red loctite what was the problem with red loctite(if i dont plan on changin the sights

  • thanks for putting up this video! Good stuff.

  • fuck! i wish i would have found this video before i bought the actual sighting tool. thats cost me almost 100 bucks. ugh!!!!!!!

  • I'm bout to order some Truglo TFO's. What should I go with for color combo. They got green, yellow, and red. I was thinking Green front and yellow rear. Or Green rear and Red front.

  • Its up to you man , I'm a big fan of green but I know many guys that love using red. I know sometimes at IDPA matchs they'll have red steel targets and all the guys with red sights start bitchin lol cause their sight will blend right into the target.

Can't say at all about the rear cause I never went with a different color rear sight.

  • Question: I have a newer generation Glock that doesn't have a tapped screw that runs through the bottom of the slide. How do you remove the front sight in cases such as this? Many thanks for your excellent series of videos.

  • Your talking about the stock front sight that comes with the glock right? That sight can be removed by simply push it out from underneath but once you do that you can't reinstall or I've heard if you carefully squeeze them 2 taps together and pull it out you can reuse it later down the road.

If your not worried about saveing it then just yank that baby out cause its just a plastic sight that cost about 2 bucks to replace.

  • Thanks so much! I appreciate the prompt reply. Awesome. Now I know where to go.

By the by, would you recommend swapping out extractors and ejectors if you wanted to convert a Glock 27 to 9mm (assuming of course conversion barrel)?

  • Well its really up to you man. I mean if everything thing works good without it , then you really don't need to but if your getting to many FTF , FTE ( AKA problems ) then sure you may want to install some of these parts.

Or you could look at it this way " The more 9mm parts you install the more relieable it should be , I know I have slowly replaced parts on my conversion barrel set-up even know I really didn't need to. 90% of people have them work great with just the barrel & the magazine.

  • so how are you liking that sight setup?

  • Well you may have to tweek it a little at the range but overal once you center the rear sight you pretty much got it.

  • wanted to learn this. thanks for doing it... alot of us here appreciate it....

    PEACE

  • No problem man , thanks for watching

  • There are called sevigny competition sights and can be gotten from most firearm stores.

    Thanks for watching man

  • Another winner. Thanks for sharing your passion.

  • ( "practically all the ammo I want" )

    all departments limit practice ammo

    once a year qualification

  • Yet another great video. Thanks for spreading your knowledge.

  • would you possibly know how to change the windage on a ruger 22/45 mark 3 rear sight

  • Hey Kick , What is the brand of sight that you are installing in this vid ?

  • Its call a Sevigny front sight.

  • You made that look FAR too easy, kicked! thanks!

  • Thanks man , It really is pretty easy to install.

  • I will have to look into that sight, I like the sight picture. Great Glock videos keep up the good work!!!

  • Hey kicked! This is a great series of vids. Im noticing a lot better editing over the progression of vids since the new camera. Still using Movie Maker??

  • Yep I'm still using the Old school Windows Movie Maker. I tried using afew different editing softwares but they all run like shit on my old Dell computer.

Hows your Movie Making going man?

  • Well i cant figure out how to transfer video to my in laws computer so i can use moviemaker but ill probably try a different camera my sis in law has. Im planning on getting a new rifle friday and ill try to do a vid review on it and a Springfield model 15 .22 and an old 410 shotgun ive come into the past month. Hopefully ill have better luck. Ill keep you posted.

  • I ageww. I cant wait to get my Glock 21 off of lay away, I will be changing the sights and not a GS. Thanx for the "Confidence Booster!"

  • Nice video, too bad I don't currently own a Glock. Keep up the good work!

  • You will before to long.

( Come to the dark side lol )

  • Nah, I don't think I'll get a Glock for a while. I'm getting a job that will give me a Beretta 92F, and practically all the ammo I want as long as I use the Beretta. I'm also thinking of getting the Springfield XD-M since I want 16 shots of .40 cal. sweetness.

    :)

    Take care, and stay safe!

  • ( "practically all the ammo I want" )

    Talk about a Dream job.

  • Yes, it seems like to almost be my dream job. The pay is not that good, but the benefits more than make up for it.

When I put in a year, and get a promotion (hopefully), I'll get to be able to play with the big toys like H&K, Sig, Springfield, and Glock. :)

  • danm i really couldof used this vid a month ago i got some hi viz front for my glock had to tinker til i fuguerd it out lol, those little hex wrenches are so hard to find ive check every gun store in my area and found none. im gonna try ace when i get around to it. lucky i havent missed a chance to shoot my glock yet due to this but ill try ACE hardware soon and if not ill just buy online.

  • What is the name of the little red front sight? How do you like it compared to factory sights?

  • Its call a Sevigny sight and even know my little rig job with the rear sight didn't work out the Sevigny sight is a great sight and I do see myself in the future getting the rear Sevigny sight to match the front one.

Its a great clean & Clear target like sight yet still gives you fast shots on them close up targets.

  • Ok, so you tighten that nut as tight as possible, CHECK!!! ;)

  • lol

  • Great tutorial Mike. If I ever get a Glock I'll know all kinds of tricks. ;-)

One or two more Glock specific vids and I'll probably have to get one just becuase of the guilt factor.

    Keep on keepin on.

    -Brian

  • Have you shot a glock with 24/7 Express Sights big dot? And if so what are your thoughts on them, I was watching a local shooting competition and the winner for the third year winner said that she made the switch. and has been winning ever since.

  • I've shot them for a good while on the recommendation of James Yeager.

    /watch?v=XAahHP7z7so His XS install vid.

and a couple of demos of the sights.

    /watch?v=AY5RURFEGd8

    /watch?v=iQVCeJ103BQ&feature=related

  • I think I just might go and try them at the range, or i just might end-up buying a set on eBay or Gunbroker.

  • I wish I could have a glock :-(

  • Why can't you? Are you a felon?

  • im a UK citizen my gov't treats me like a felon, we can't have semi auto's, pistols etc etc

  • Indeed, I've been to a few places in the UK visiting friends and it was great, but I doubt that I'll go back having learned that even my Leatherman could get me arrested. I feel the same way about an increasingly large number of places here in the US.

  • The west is becoming a left wing liberal scum hole

  • That's a reasonable assessment.

  • and becuase of it white people are a minority, you know whites only make 8% of the worlds populationa dn that within 70 years immigration into europe will mean only 49% of the people in europe are european. I guess in a couple hundred years there will be none of us. Thanks a lot liberals.
