@boigoeshome It depends. Most of them are not fitted just "out of the box". You have to upgrade them to get range (more power, better compression...) and accuracy (tighter cannon, right hopup rubber...).

A well prepared airsoft sniper rifle can get consistent hits against a human torso at 80/90 meters. But it´s very expensive (I have expent around 700€ in my L96) and time consuming.

And even with all that you´ll still usually kill less than the average rifleman.

@TThacker96 You're kidding right? Getting hold of real POSP scopes is pretty easy, and fairly cheap as well. A fixed magnification one will only set you back about $180, which is very cheap, considering things like real EoTechs cost at least three times that, if not more.

@iAmOker7 Depends, sometimes a player will get to go back to their base or a respawn point and the re-join the game, sometimes they will have to fall back to a new position and start playing from there, or for short games they will be totally out until the next game.

It varies between games and sites.

@AkatsukiEmil You can take as many guns as you can physically carry. Most players stick with two, a primary and a side-arm, although some will take three. Beyond 4 though things start getting heavy and impractical.

@MegaSniper808 Well judging by the fact that they are playing airsoft, they probably weren't that bothered about getting something that can shoot far. I'd imagine they were a bit more interested in buying high quality replicas of firearms that they can shoot at their mates.

Also, lets see you shoot your mates with a pellet gun/air rifle. I can guarantee they won't appreciate it.

@JW6B3 Yes there is. BB Guns fire metal pellets at quite high velocities. Airsoft guns fire plastic pellets at lower velocities.

BB guns are dangerous and can seriously injure a person, whereas Airsoft guns are not dangerous (unless you go nuts and bludgeon someone with one...)

If you want to take part in games like you see in this video, you have to have an Airsoft gun, as you can't shoot BB guns at people...
