Very cool if they really did air this whole segment with the complete footage of Blitzkrieg Bop like that. Such great memories of seeing them in small clubs back then. There was a lot of hope that didn't really pan out in the long run, but man what fun! Cheers!

I think the punk movement that originated in NY focused more into the music itself while the punk scene in England was more towards lifestyle and protests toward the establishment at the time.

This was the last great tour for the Ramones,they did half the tour with the Runaways opening,i saw them at aredneck bar outside Houston,On The Border,theres video of it.Anyway as i said this was the last tour w/Tommy on the throne and he was surely missed.He just tired of it he said.

Well they didn't exactly invent it. There was Iggy, the New York Dolls, MC5 The Seeds and the Velvet Underground years before. But the Ramones did refine it to the basic structure we know it as today.

Wow, the stuff you see on youtube. I was actually there at this show at the State on Hennepin. Joan Jett fronted the Runaways for the opening act. We saw history and we did not know it!

Gosh this was such a treat! I love that candid footage of Johnny and Dee Dee running through "Loudmouth" together, just the two of them. They were so tight, even if it was simple chords. They were just unbelievably TOGETHER, as a whole band. It's so funny how people said they couldn't play, when a supposed "professional" band couldn't replicate what The Ramones did, no way!
