The show is fake. I have been at two of the filmings. ALL of the "extras" bidding on lockers are chosen in advance. It's scripted down to the last detail. Ever notice that with 60 people present Dave, Darrell, Jarrod (Brandi) or Barry win almost all of the lockers every single time? I have been to many auctions in my life. That is just not possible. Neither are all of their cool "finds". They're planted.
