this song was released before i was born, but from what i heard it was a massive hit pakistan, india and the south asian community outside the subcontinent....as far as i know, surinder kaur recorded it first and musarrat nazir released two versions, one for PTV and another for a punjabi film... Noor Jehan also released her own version in the 80s, which was also successful.....
