in the old game i read, and other games,nights pose to be a boy, and he look like a boy,but in this one they make him look like a chick

I liked this game and all, but lacks SO much magic and mystery that the old one had.

First the owl.. yeh explaining you the whole thing instead of imagining like in the old one.. NiGHTS talking.. o,o took away the mistery, added the fact that the 2 humans are two rich kids with problems that most of us PROBABLY cant relate to, were as the old one was those simple problems a teen has and we can relate. Not to mention everything here seems to come straight out of england,

@EmperorZander No NiGHTS is not a male. NiGHTS gender is up to the player and they only used the term male to simplify the matter because it would be rude to call NiGHTS a "it". Sega offically announced NiGHTS can be boy or girl judging by what the player thinks. I personally think NiGHTS is a girl in this one.

During an interview, Takashi stated, "NiGHTS is neutral, and therefore has no gender. The impressions of the character with regards to gender are totally up to the player." meaning it's whatever we see NiGHTS as, you see NiGHTS as a boy well then you see NiGHTS as a boy. I see NiGHTS as a girl due to looks, voice and personality.

People find it easier to relate to animate objects when they have a gender. However, NiGHTS's gender is ambiguous, so it doesn't really matter. NiGHTS's gender is up to the viewer, so NiGHTS can be either Male or Female. I personally find NiGHTS to be female.

Why are you people fighting over NiGHTS' gender? If everyone did their proper research, they would know that despite sometimes being referred to as a male or female, NiGHTS is actually genderless. Though, if NiGHTS did have a gender, it would likely be female and not male as some might claim. If you don't believe this, it has this fact in written on Wikipedia and likely many other sites. Alright, here's how it works.

NiGHTS is genderless. That's what Sega says in the back story of the original game. And, in the original game, since NiGHTS was mostly silent, it wasn't really a problem.

What they did in JoD, to show that he was genderless, was they gave him a female voice and then referred to NiGHTS as a "he" in the cutscenes. Which, of course, just confused the crap out of everyone.

But, if you said "she", it's not really a big deal. He/She is still genderless. :)
