Difficult though to make a business out of ading internal 3G, people aren't prepared to pay for the actual effort. I will look at integrating one with my 900 as well.

I cant believe you put a modem in it. z0mgz it'll work on the asus eee pc 900 im sure. You need to have a tutorial on how to do it and where you get the modem your using. I must have because I don't have a wireless modem at home and my pc is pretty much useless coz all my cabled ports are full. Please help!

Most EEE PCs are currently shipping with Windows XP pre-installed, but all EEE PCs are compatible with Windows XP and come with a manual on installing it. There are also many alternative ways of installing it found on the internet aside from the instructions provided. In short... Yes getting XP is possible (and I've even seen some instructions for Vista)

Many windows games have native linux installers. eg the Quake/Doom & Unreal series.

If not, install WINE or buy Cedega.

This will allow most windows games and progs to work in linux.

I would like to see this availabe as a "barebones" unit.

Straight away I would like to put a bigger HD and more RAM in it.

The ONLY reason I can see anyone NOT making a full changeover to AT LEAST ubuntu would be some disability-assistance program or a hardcore gamer.

Linux is a GREAT, FAST OS! For the target audience of an EEE PC, it's absolutely perfect.

Has anyone tried the huawei E220 usb 3G from vodafone? It flys and you dont need to download software! I have been using it since I got my eee pc in 2nd week of December. It connects super fast and I tested it out on a bus journey; never lost my connection! it saves alot of hassle and its still super mobile

the 3G version of GPRS in a sense. its like broadband on your mobile. some carriers allow for devices which you plug into your computers usb port which allows you to connect your computer to the mobile broadband network. its called HSDPA

YES JKKmobile is a hell of an EEE modder! He was the first to do it with a $60 touchscreen kit he bought from eBay. He promised to build a built-in bluetooth mod next. I bet JKK is done by now.=)

i understand how anxious you could be to post this video, but i implore you to PLEASE look into post-production. Instead of dicking around touching the screen to prove its not using wifi, use a screen capturing tool so we can actually see what's happening. Invest in a microphone and dub over your video so we can understand what you're saying.
