@jackbrightside Yeah, I totally agree. I'm not getting this game. I still play FM4 all the time, theres no other Mecha game like it. Nothing looks good to me about Front Mission games in real time play. I could go buy Zone of Enders 1 on ebay for a buck.

I think this game turned out to be a lot better than these old gameplay videos. I play it on pc and since Armored Core isn't coming to pc and the next Mechwarrior is nowhere near completion, we're left with this. And it's pretty enjoyable for mech fans.

@ipariszalonna Yeah, too bad theres no ingame chat possibility, nor ability to be as foot soldier... That would have been pretty cool, if there was some small areas where you could hide as foot soldier and then snipe at wanzers with your bazooka.

Why can't anyone make a good decent MECH GAME??? seriously..the only good mech game i have ever played was on the ps2.. it was called something i cant remember now.. it was anime based game insanely fun! not this boring slow ass moving robots.... i just wish it would be remade for pc or a sequel would get made!

what happened at 6:40? is that a pilot skill? omg id love it if they included pilot skills in this game that would be amazing... my durendal team (FM4) was unstoppable with the pilot skills and links i set up

@BIILYBOB999 Nice eye, indeed that guy was using EDGE system (that is just for single player) and then "skill" EMP Blast. Skills in FME are present as weapon upgrades, different weapons can have different number of such upgrades.

@LordKellAset thanks it looked wierd to me at first... i hope they dont do that what u said for the pilot skills i hope they have it so its like evasion + 5% or ms +1 or whatever, or like shield bash u can use once you get that skill... thats how it should be to stay true to the series i think

The way it is set up now, each weapon has a 'skill slots' stat. A few examples of skills include one to drain enemy energy so they can't skate away (good for snipers), a stunning skill (good for melee hybrids), a damage over time skill (best used in team scenarios where the opponent might not notice right away), etc. When the skill activates you see that small cool down timer appear next to the weapon icon on the upper corners of the screen.

@AskHandsomeThomas Fairplay, to be honest i have only played Amoured Core 4 and For Answer so i wouldn't have known what the other games were like. If people want something like the older games then this should make them happy.

Amored Core is more for hardcore mech fans because this looks more like amoured core made simple and more cartoony. To be honest Amoured Core seems to be more action packed with slick fast paced combat and this is more walking around in a big robot rather gliding across deserts or quick boosting through tunnels. Im not saying this is bad because im only pointing out the difference between the two games. it doesn't look too bad and i think i may even get it.

Can't wait for Amoured Core 5 XD

the on foot segment ( 8:20 mark onwards) is horrendous; animation is almost non-existent, enemy AI is lacking. Amazingly, Square Enix had the guts to show this off to the press... wow, just wow..

@melvinthedeathless Heh man this video is so old, it was october when they released it, 2009 of course. That was time of Tokyo Game Show, since then nothing about on foot part of game was revealed and that is a pity I would like to see how they improved it since Shinji Hashimoto one of original creators of Front Mission got somehow more involved with development of FME. I wonder if there will be option to play as foot soldiers in multiplayer, just for more variety.

@LordKellAset yeah, ether a foot soldier multiplayer or some Team Wanzer multiplayer like Defend the Fort where you have to defend the key points of your fort so that the opponents team doesn't smash them.

@Volcannon There will be game mode in multiplaer where ppl will fight for control over automatic defense turrets placed all over the map and to make things more fun those turrets will of course open fire on enemy wanzers. That info was revealed on FM Evolved developer blog.
