Good video. Thank you... I'll do the same soon. Plan to stay in shape: I am sitting too much at my desk - it's not good.... I hope walking while working will help a lot... :)))
Typical American attitude of "if some is good, more must be better." The treadmill desk concept is to keep it going slow and long, not to see "how fast can I go?" 1 mph all workday long, not 3 mph for 20 minutes or whatever. People are much more likely to stick with the program if they basically forget they're doing it, which is easy at a strolling pace, not huffing and puffing then giving it up because it's too much work.
@RoyKnable I disagree because I literally have a hard time walking at 1 mph. My normal walking pace is 3 mph so it is what is comfortable to me. It has nothing to do with "how fast can I go" but rather "what pace is best for me"? I haven't given up at it for years. I think to each his own rather than telling other people what is right for them.
You never once said, "pick your own pace." All you say is "Here's 3.0!" As if that's right for everyone. James Levine at the Mayo Clinic, the creator of the treadmill desk concept, says 1 mph because just about anybody can keep it up all day long without strain or sweat, required at the office. Levine created the concept to stay active rather than sedentary through the 8-hour workday. You changed it to allow some work while you do your 30-60 minute workout, after which you go shower.
