The metal thingy on mine didn't break... the switch did! This pedal sucks big time!
I've had to fix it twice. First time I replaced the switch. The second time, the metal thingy ended up bending so the switch wasn't being hit so I did the eraser mod I found here on youtube and it's been working fine.
The thing that's been happening since day 1 is it registers double hits and I haven't been able to fix that yet because I have no idea what the problem is.
1. How durable is the spring? The RB2 stock pedal has a very sturdy and durable spring, but when I see the roadie pedal I see this small thin and weak spring. Is it good? Will it break on me?
2. Can I use 2 feet on one pedal with this pedal? On songs such as Indestructible, Inside The Fire, Are You Dead Yet, and Clouds Over California, I use one foot just fine. But on those crazy songs like What A Horrible Night To Have A Curse and This Is Exile, I just can't do it with one foot.
I too liked the stock pedal and it broke so I am getting this pedal and the x cell pads are on the way I play expert and I think I am pretty good without those things right now I got my roadie for 29.99 on ebay.
this pedal isnt all that great.....i got the IONS for christmas and it came with the roadie pedal....at first it worked great but as i used it and ised it it began to get louder and clackeyer......its not the best pedal but it works okay,,,,
Are you gonna review the Roadie Kick Rocker for a GHWT drum set any time soon? Because i'm planning on buying one and before I buy it , I want to hear a review from you to see if its worth the money. Thanks!!
i must be crazy cause im an expert drummer and still using the stock pedal. i dont drum everyday but i do most days and ive finished the expert tour... am i crazy to like the stock pedal? lol. i just have a hard time spending more money on a pedal when the stock one works just fine. i did get drum pad silencers though which really increased my score a lot, pre-drum silencers (which are $20) drum rolls were impossible but now they are doable!
If you are going to be hard core Expert like I am which is I play for hours a day and play a ton of songs that are bass heavy, then I would look into another pedal. If you are going to be casual like I described in the video, then this pedal would be a good buy.
the ion pedal will be removable and i trust hbk because he's my friend on xbl so i can trust him
also just to let u know cena i have just bought the destroyer pedal and the goodwood mods so i just wanted to know if there is anything wrong with either of them
Nothing wrong as of todate. As you will see in my upcoming GoodWood Mods DIY Review do on the 8th of Septemeber, is that the wires are paper then. I snapped wires on 3 drums installing them. I talked to Rich and he has told his supplier and they will be getting thicker wire. Besides that everything is good with them
The Ion pedal is removable. The thing I have to wait to get the set to find out is if other real kick triggers work with the Ion or if we can use out 3rd party pedals.
I would much rather use the Stock Pedal; I guess i must've got a bad one.

it disgusts me that they had a contest for the best review for the roadie pedal. "tell everyone our product is awesome and you could win a prize!"

Yeah that was not the worlds smartest move. This was before the Roadie Pedal was acquired by a professional music company.

It does with the RB1 drumset, but not the RB2 set.
