Went in March of 08 for my honeymoon, my wife and I will always have a special place in our hearts for Torremolinos. From the awesome tapas of Casa Lopez to the charm of the shops down the Bajondillo, and even our foot race down the street to catch our tour bus headed for Granada in the wee hours of the morning. Spain is awesome, and now with that ape Obama in office I think I might move there for 4 years.
@RightWingCon81 haha, I'm with you, man. I'm moving in September.... 1 way ticket. Good thing I have both US and EU citizenship. Who knows... I might stay longer than 4 years, what with Europe converting back to capitalism, while the US moves towards socialism and all.
@RightWingCon81 no, I've actually never had tapas before. Spain is one of the only few countries in Europe that i haven't been to yet. I originally wanted to move to St. Barths, but since there are no jobs there, I'm settling for the Costa Del Sol.
Had a week in april 08. We enjoyed it apart from one incident when we were overcharged by €41 at the El Marcos pub at the bottom of Calle San Miguel. We had paid our bill but we were made to pay again when the barmaid swore blind that we had not given her our money. I asked the owner to call the police because we felt threatened but all we got from them was that if we dident pay again we would be arrested. Dont go there.
