  • My question is, since there is a Ron Asheton signiture model, does that model produce the sounds of the guitar of the the first two Stooges albums?

  • Yes. The Ron Asheton Signature model will produce the early Stooges sound. That's what Ron wanted. Iggy was adamant about Ron using a three single coil guitar to record/tour with.

  • How would you rate it for some vintage blues playing?

  • I own this axe in the natural finish, real nice sound but NOT for shredding, not hot enough.

  • Of course it's for shredding, just get a pedal, (or you would probably have one already if you shred)

  • @CleverDjembe i think the reason why he said that its not for shreding is maybe because of the fat vintedge neck

  • my telecaster's name is husker

  • these guitars are comfortable and good?

  • are they any good for metal? anywhere from metallica and stander tuned metal to like slipknot and mudvayne where they're tuned down to b and c?

  • They have PAF style Humbuckers so more vintage.. I would suggest good for Blues and Classic/Hard Rock.

But with the right Amp everything is possible ...

  • my sunburst strat is named samantha

  • i know a chick named samantha

shes really weird and obssessed with waffles but shes nice

  • some ppl give nicknames to their guitars my tiger striped futura i call it tiger

  • he really likes the work "chunky" :P

    nice clip, nice guitar.. !

  • Its awsome. I have a gil parris. These are gross guitars for the price.

  • this is probably not a good guitar for metal right?

(im thinking music like metallica and megadeth...)

  • this thing could definitely pull off metal with those thick humbuckers. Then it's just a matter of getting good gain, which a good amp and/or pedal can easily do, no matter what kind of guitar or pickups you have (except maybe a full hollowbody, because they feed back at high gain). I'd get the volcano myself if I wasn't broke.

  • Great one

  • Does anyone know what amp this guy uses when he reviews demos guitars? Usually it sounds a bit treble-y, but here it sounds pretty warm and ballsy.

  • Great reviewer, Great guitar.

  • can u get good ska sounds from this puppy?

  • Yeah! That's the wonder of the Bass Contour knob (3rd one). Roll it down and you can get some thin sounds suitable for rhythmic stuff like ska and funk!

  • Is this guitar suitable for heavier sounds?

  • The Bass Contour is awesome, changes the sound very much, it sounds great.

And their guitars look and sound great ^^

  • that would be pretty sick to have....

but with EMG's and a chrome pickguard......

  • try the esp ltd m. abbot signature

  • That ESP looks like shit and sounds like shit and is played by a shitty band.......

  • actually esp makes some quality stuff

    opinions lay where they may

but a while back I saw a few used at my local shop and they were black with a chrome pickguard and retro-fitted with emgs

so thats why I recommended it

  • did you just call Arch Enemy shitty? wow you give sXe kids a bad name. Michael Amott's tone is amazing

  • How the hell do i give Straight Edge a bad name?

  • I agree. All straight edge kids are fags.

  • Lol, fuck you man.

  • hahaha Dude. Be you man. Don't give a fuck what I say.

  • Will Do.

  • and a floyd rose

  • that bass contour nob is fuckin nifty as shit man, i digith thou

  • It's just an EQ knob, not magic!

  • great tone, great headstock. well done, reverend.

  • why would he be gay?

  • why does it matter?

  • it don't... but i think it's extremely ridiculous that people assume stuff like this without even knowing him... or even met him...

  • i agree

  • oh come on its obvious

  • ive met him, he was blown awya that i picked him outta this group of guitarist at the PRS Experience Festival this summer

    i Fgot his autograph

    talked to him

    and shook his hadn

hes a total down to earth uy

hes very shy almost, and super nice

  • looks huge on him

  • Albert King would have dug this guitar!

  • looks like the ninja by esp

  • or the v by gibson?

  • i always wanted this guitar but i figured it wouldn't sound too good for 500 bucks, now i really want one

  • Somewhere between $600...

  • prices anyone??

  • Reverends rock!

  • I think Paul would make a great addition to just about a wide variety of bands in different genres.

  • can you play heavy metal and thrash with this guitar ?

  • ???my frnd u can play anythin on any guitar...if i recorded some thrash on a hello kitty strat u want notice any difference but of course u want play metal on a hello kitty on stage an esp v is more like it.

  • Dude,Reverend Totally Fuckin Pwn.

You Can Make It Sound Like A Strat to a Gibson,

With A Roll Of A Switch.

  • Where are these things made?

  • Korea.

  • rojaslaz, you have to go to their website and look up dealers. You wont find it at the big guys.
