Well there are already several LPs on going. There's an English LP (part 26, I think) and a LP in german from a guy with an hilarious eastgerman accent, who's already uploaded the 148th episode...

Ok. This is Gothic all over again, except the fact that range is different. If this game is actually extremely similar to Gothic, then it is fucking borderline Oblivion. Planning to make an LP of this anyways.

It's not. Gothic 3 was more borderline Oblivion, since Piranha Bytes or rather JoWood decided to go for quantity instead of quality.

Risen goes back to the roots of the Gothic series. I would call it "The abridged version of what Gothic 3 was supposed to be". The game is or rather feels short with only 36 hours, but PB proved with this title that they still know what fans of the Gothic series want from their games.

PS: Don't do an LP of this game - it's a bad idea, but that's something that a couple of people already frankly ignored.

Well, this game looks is looking pretty good and it's certainly a nice change for all of the retarded generic FPS shooters out there.

Though I'm just wondering how linear this game is.

The game starts out very unlinear. The initial "mission" is summed up pretty simple: You're stranded on a foreign island - go wild.

After some exploring you get to know the world and see that you can join two (or basically three) factions. As soon as you're part of one of those the game get's pretty linear. In fact, it doesn't even have such a huge impact on the mainquest what faction you join.
