Hi! I know that this is not related to your video but I have a problem with my hero I was hopping that you might know the solution... A few days ago I upgraded from 2.1. to something and my phone freezed with sign of HERO across the display. When I restarted it, it went into booth by it self and now i have on the screen some info about the phone, row under it sais RUU, and on the botoom of screen there is a chip that is crossed. Also my computer wont recognize my phone when I connect it.HELP :)

OK done the update as per the video but when the phone boots I get to the touch the android screen but nothing happens sometimes it does go to the next stage but then the phone restarts! I have tried several times to get it wokring I even restored the phone and then tried again but it still wont work. Any idea's on what is wrong?

All suggestions has a "magnifying icon" in front of the word. (See "rom" and "rom gripper" on 3:29 )

All earlier/recent searches, has a "time" icon. Like you have on 3:25

i've got a problem now , i wanted to sell my htc hero so i did a factory reset but the GAPPS are gone so i tried to put them back in but it only installs 1 or 2 apps from the zip , even though when i go to managa applications i can see the android market and all the other apps ! what the hell's going on ?

For your second question, What you can do to get the extra pages is download a launcher such as launcher pro or my favourite ADW Launcher and you can change the amount of screens in the settings!

Also did you never get the android 2.1 update?

Problems with Button configuration...

it worked very well. thank you for this great step by step video

but now on my HTC HERO the PHONE/HOME/SEARCH -Buttons don't work, so i can't use multitasking.

how can i fix the problem with the buttons???

one way is just try it again ;)

and the simplest is to restart your device a few times.

both solved my problems with this issue.

Now the Rom runs very good on my HERO!

Hi, i have just finished doing the procedures as instructed and i'm currently in the reboot stage. I'm getting worried though cause after the 'Hero' on startup I just get a black screen and it's taking ages to load up. Is this normal or have I bricked my phone? :( Thanks!

@heyitsdanisaur Hey, this is quite normal. Your phone should now have booted up the problem is that there seems to be some sort of bug with the boot animations which makes them look like the phone is turned off. Hoped this helped you

@TickTockHD Thank you for the response. Unfortunately, I waited for more than an hour and it still wasn't loading so i removed the battery and did a recovery. Now I'm back to 2.1. I don't know where I went wrong but I am 100% sure that I did everything correctly on the tutorial.

universal android root worked for me an I had to grant several super user permissions for clockworkmod to be able to apply the recovery. I deleted the existing super user permissions for clockworkmod first

I may have had to reboot to recovery first after applying the zip files before then just rebooting normally.

thank u so much mam..its really helpfull but i hav got an issue....after the rom manager step the phone restarts bt gets stuck at some red triangle with an exclaimation mark and i have to pull out the battery then to get it working normally...im really getting annoyed with that..i have also tried volum+end and even the emulator but phone doesnt boot through recovery mood..please help me out :-(

@JackPidwell The great developers over at Cronos fixed the wifi for us! also there is no camera problems that I have seen. It is a really great rom !!

It is a really great rom, I use it every day! I use mine overclocked using set cpu at 710 mhz so it is really speedy!
